You are bidding on a 1968 MGB GT that was a one owner, California black plate car until January 2002. We have owned it since early 2003 and have put about 5000 miles on it. This car is equipped as it was when the original owner picked it up at BMC of San Francisco. It is Tartan red with black leather seats/red piping, wire wheels, and a badge bar. The original owner never installed a radio so the original factory blanking plate is still in place. He had the drivetrain overhauled and the car repainted in the original color in the 90's. The original BMC of San Francisco Purchase Order comes with the car. This car is a very presentable driver with excellent paint shine and a nice interior. Carpet, headliner, leather seats, dash, and guages all look good. Heater, defroster, blower work - as do all the lights except one of the backup lights. The car runs and shifts very well and is comfortable at highway speeds. The floors, trunk, and underneath the car are solid. Some bubbling is appearing on the lower rocker panels. The hood prop is missing. The car is in great original shape for 44 years old but is not perfect and has the usual patina - including scrapes, scratchs, dings, etc. - you would expect on a car that has been driven and enjoyed. The actual mileage is not known. The MG is sold "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied. All test drives, questions, and inspections must be completed before bidding.
