Vehicle Detail
Up for sale my 1997 Miata STO # 874 of 1500. The car is in perfect condition and needs absolutely nothing, car shifts great, clutch feel perfect, it goes and handles like a gokart (hence the license plate). It is the most fun you will have on four wheels and with the supercharger it actually goes like a miata should go. It is a low pressure supercharger and it does not affect reliability at all and it still gets great gas mileage. Car is a California car so absolutely no rust. Car was inspected by a mechanic before it was put up for sale and everything checked out good, passed smog recently. Recent maintenance was done, new tires, new belts, oil change, tune up, new radiator, fluids, etc. Windows were tinted last month and they have lifetime warranty. I am the fourth owner and I have maintenance receipts from previous owners. Car has always been adult owned and always garaged. Everything works on the car; A/C blows cold, cd player, radio, etc. Here is a list of the extra features added to the car: Jackson racing supercharger (passes smog and state inspections without any problems) Jackson racing exhaust (sounds fantastic, not loud by any means, just a deep throaty sound) Koni upgraded suspension (makes the car handle even better) "R" package lip kit (front and rear) Moss motors bumper lights with built in air intakes (Claimed to lower engine temps, but more importantly they compliment the look of the car) Hard dog roll bar (not a cheap style bar) Upgraded front and rear swaybars New top All of these upgrades add up to around $4000 and they do not affect the reliability of the car, instead they only enhance the driving experience. As you can see, no expense was spared on the car and it has always been a garage toy. It is a 15 year old car, not brand new but you'll be hard pressed to find any flaws other than the expected ones after 15 years. From the top of my head I can nitpick a few things. Antenna won't go up, few dents around the car, small chip on front bumper. Those are the only things I can think of, if you have any specific questions please let me know, i'll be more than happy to answer them. This is probably one of the nicest examples in the country, it is a rare car (arguably the rarest miata ever built), it has very expensive and tasteful upgrades and it is in pristine condition. Unfortunately for me, I am forced to get rid of some of my toys and this one is one of them. I am sure the new owner will enjoy this car as much as I have. The reserve is set at $6500 just because I need it gone. STOs are going for more than this in similar condition WITHOUT any of the upgrades. Regular miatas (not special editions) are going for that much WITH similar upgrades. This is your chance to own something unique, special, rare and in great shape all in one package. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Thanks so much for looking and please, again, do not hesitate to contact me for ANY questions. Good luck *Cas is sold AS-IS with no warranties written or implied. Shipping is arranged and paid for by buyer, however I will assist in even possible way I can. Buyer must make a $250 non refundable deposit within 24 hours after the auction ends. Car is being sold locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.* On Aug-03-12 at 08:36:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Car will come with a luggage rack in like new condition, the tonneau cover for when the top is down (perfect shape also) and a file full of records all the way from the first owner up until now, both sets of keys, gold plated mazda key chain, supercharger installation/maintenance instructions and a few extra goodies here and there. On Aug-06-12 at 16:39:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Just got back from a trip to California (getting closer to 105K miles) and the car didn't miss a beat. 100+ degree weather with A/C on, no problems at all. Car averaged 26mpg including a fair bit of city driving.
