I purchased the FJ80 from the original owner about 6 years ago with only 21,000 miles. The owner was in IL and owned several cars and rarely drove the Landcruiser (kept in a garage). Since the purchase, my daughter has used it in CA as a daily driver to school and cycling events. It has never been off-road. The current mileage is about 85,000 miles and continues to be driven until the sale. The FJ passed the CA smog in January of this year. The FJ runs great and is very reliable. The oil and engine maintenance has been kept up but there are a couple of notes: (1) The A/C does not work – I am not sure of the problem but it may be as simple as a recharging; (2) The brakes were done (by Toyota) in April 2011 but they are about due again – cost $883 last year (3) When idling, something on the exhaust system rattles – not sure what it is and as stated above, it passed the smog test in January (4) There is a small dent on the front fender as shown in the photos; (5) There is rust on the rear windshield wiper and bumper as shown in the photos; (6) The FJ is registered as a 1991 but as shown on the VIN plate it was manufactured in 7/90 The FJ does have the center differential lock, power moon roof, third seat, and two-tone paint.
