1979 Volkswagen Convertible (Cabriolet). The entire car and paint is in like new condition, and runs great also. Everything on the car works, including the original clock on the dash as well as the dome light. 67,128 original miles. I am the 3rd owner and bought this car in 2006 from the person that completed a full restoration. He bought it from the original owner in California. I have entered this car in two large regional VW car shows (2009 and 2012) and it took "1st in Class" in both shows. New heater boxes and exhaust were installed 2 years ago. I had them ceramic coated so they should not ever rust out. The floor pans, runningboards, etc. are all like new. The top is like new except for a couple of the snaps aren't in the headliner on each side, but it looks and works great. I store the car during the winter and it is always garaged and never driven in the rain. Interior is in like-new condition as well. In 2009 I received the car's "birth certificate" from the Stiftung Automuseum in Wulfsburg, Germany and the car was built on October 1st, 1978 and left the factory on October 24, 1978. Country of destination is listed as San Francisco, USA. This is one of the last Beetles ever made in Germany. I also have the original rims which are included in the sale. Please look at similar cars on Craigslist and ebay from around the Country. You will not find a nicer one at this price. I bought it 6 years ago to enjoy on nice weekend days with my wife and kids. Our kids are older now and we are ready to sell so someone else can enjoy it. Thanks for looking!
