Vehicle Detail
Vehicle is a daily driver and has been very dependable for the 5 years that I have owned it. This is not a new truck and shows some signs of wear and tear, but is in overall fair condition. It's driven for errands mostly but i usually drive it to work and back (65 miles round trip) at least once a week. This is a southern car, the body is rust free aside from one small spot of surface rust on the hood its light and dusty, more like oxidation than rust. The body is in great shape, a few dings here and there, but no big dents, no rust, no filler, nice and clean and straight. There are some rock chips on the nose, and the paint is sun faded on the roof. I have tried to keep up with the truck mechanically and have installed the following over the last few years: Battery, Alternator, Tensioner Pulleys, Serpentine Belt, Rear Shocks, Tires, EGR valve, Mass Air Flow Sensor, Idle Air Control Valve Plugs and Wires, and I keep the oil changed. I'm sure i have put something else on there too, but it escapes me now. This truck starts every time you turn the key and has never left me on the side of the road. I actually hate to see her go, but I don't have room in the driveway to keep her anymore. This truck does not leak or burn oil. Now for the not as good stuff. i want your money, but i want you to be happy with what you bought too. There are some small tears starting in the drivers seat, they aren't bad yet, but they are there. The leather is old. And the vinyl arm rest/console cover is cracked/split I think there is a vacuum leak. The truck will randomly idle rough and has stalled a few times, stalling is rare but it has happened. it also always fired right back up immediately. There is a light tick when the truck idles as well. This is more prevalent at start up and has been present the entire time I have owned the truck and has never gotten any worse. The rear window on the drivers side sticks sometimes and doesn't want to go down. i will try to clean the tracks and re-grease everything, but i'm pretty sure it's not the window motor. The A/C is currently not blowing cold air. I jumped the low pressure valve and the compressor came on so i am going to try and fill it this week. I'll shoot some dye in and check for leaks. The odometer stopped working a few years ago. The other gauges all work fine. I would estimate the mileage at around 225k. I am willing to answer questions, send additional photos, etc. This car is available for pick up and i am willing to meet someone within a reasonable radius of Charlotte, NC if scheduled in advance. The truck is for sale locally as well, so act fast. No reserve On Jul-30-12 at 21:22:41 PDT, seller added the following information:there have been a lot a great questions asked... tranny is a little sluggish out of park but runs through the gears fine - no slippage even under hard acceleration. 4wd has acted sketchy in the past, 4wd high light flashed last time it was used, i rarely ever use it in Charlotte, it snows 1 or 2 times a year here and i don't off road this truck or tow with it, however last time i used it it did engage and disengage and seemed to pull fine. The front diff has a leak, but i check it when i change oil and if it's low i top it off. tires are okay...depending on how much you drive you could get another year out of them. one is much newer than the others due to a blow out, matched set. i welcome questions!!!
