I am the third owner on this truck and I bought it from a guy who had it in his barn in Vancouver, Washington for the last twelve years. He was a retired body and paint man who was restoring it but decided he would never finish so he sold it to me. The first owner was an old gentleman who lived next door to him and is now passed on. The truck has extremely little rust and had none at all in rockers or bottoms of the doors. This truck has not been registered since 1989 but I do have Oregon plates and title. I have just burnt myself out on the restoration and am ready to pass it on to someone ready to take it to the next level. The second owner put new bakes on all four corners and I installed a new master cylinder. The brakes are not working very well and I believe the brake cylinders are bad from sitting so long. The engine was removed from a 1970 Dodge Valiant with just over 70,000 miles on it and it runs good and with excellent oil pressure. The timing yet to be set so it can be hard starting but then runs good. The bed and other places on the truck had lots of hole from mounting various items and they have all been welded closed and ground off. It is currently painted with a sealer and is ready to be picked at for small blemishes and such before final paint. I am listing all that I have done and part bought below. welded up holes complete rust removal new fuel sending unit removed and flushed fuel tank new fuel lines at engine and tank new motor mounts new fuel pump pointless ignition and new module new brakes front and rear new master cylinder all new radiator and heater hoses and clamps painted and double insulated engine housing new spark plugs new distributor cap and ignition coil new rotor oil filter and filter twice to cleanse engine flushed and replaced antifreeze body work and sealer ready for paint changed tailgate chains to be used on the inside of bed to keep clean lines on back painted entire truck with a white sealer for easy inspection of any spots needing special attention prior to final paint wheels and tire have less than 500 miles, came off a 2012 Dodge Charger front and rear bumper are included and in excellent condition both front seat are in very good condition but with small tears and old I have nearly 60 photos of the truck in various stages of completion so let me know if you want something special. This is a truck at the tail end of restoration for daily or weekend use NOT a show winner. I wanted to be able to use it not always worry about it. I now have good brakes so I drove it around the neighborhood. It still needs the timing set so it runs smoother. I also greased all the front zerk fittings and bled the brakes again. Passenger seat is installed and dash is painted. I just can't keep myself from completing more things. I may put a new muffler on it this week...the 30 year old glass pack is way to loud.
