This is a 300CE coupe that needs some attention. I owned and drove it for several years. It has new tires and good Pennsylvania inspection till December. The best thing is there is no rust which makes it a great candidate for a restoration.I've owned a few 124 models and you can always keep them going but rust issues are a difficult hurdle to overcome as well as being super expensive. The paint is faded and could definitely use a respray. The interior is good but the headliner has a couple of small nicks and smudges. The drivers seat shows the usual wear on the side bolster.The front bumper has a piece cracked off of it (see photo) you will receive fresh bumper from my parts car. There is a light hit on the passenger door and rear quarter from two overly unappreciative ladies as they backed out of a space in a parking lot The headlight doors need to be replaced. They are fogged and one assembly is slightly melted inside as it was not reinstalled correctly by the mechanic (parts included from the parts car). The engine runs ok but as of late has begun to have hard starting issues and poor idle. I was told it could be the OVP, fuel filter, fuel pump, EHA, O2 Sensor, etc,etc. I've put a lot of money into these cars but I'm not as enthusiastic as I used to be. Don't get me wrong its still my favorite Mercedes model I just don't have the time to troubleshoot and put money in the work anymore. I am also selling a 1988 300CE parts car so check it out; most of the major parts are still on it. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd rather fix it and spend more money on it or sell it to the crusher than see it fall into the hands of some conniving idiot, or unappreciative dunce. Present company is excluded so if you know what this car is and what parts cost and how exquisite the ride can be then by all means buy it. if you are looking to get something for absolutely nothing the buck stops here. I'm not giving it away!
