OKAY MARTI REPORT ATTACHED THIS IS A TRUE SHAKER GT CAR(PRETTY RARE)-PLEASE NOT DRAG CAR NOT INCLUDED ONLY THE QUARTER PANEL FROM IT. 1970 torino gt excellent project car! Bought this yesterday to use as my own project or to part. However I've recieved a call and have the oppurtunity to purchase a torino cobra which is my dream car and must come up with the cash. Guy owned since 1984, removed engine and had it rebuilt. The engine is not matching numbers but is a 1970 4v motor. Can here run when you purchase sounds pretty good has a bit of a lumpy cam and is bored over .030. C6 was rebuilt also I believe this was done in the mid 90's. Car was started periodically to maintain a healthy motor. It is however going to need the carb rebuilt I believe along with some brake work. Engine bay was repainted and fenders were acid dipped. The underneath of this car is amazing! Original floor boards how many cars have those? All frame rails and torque boxes are A1, the battery tray isnt even rusted out in the apron if you can believe that. Was told the car has a 3.25 trac lock with spider gears in it. Tires on it have zero miles on them and look new but a little aged no signs of dry rot as they all hold air. Has slot aluminum style rims. Trunk area is excellent and the passenger side drop off is really good except for a dime size hole. Was told this IS an original shaker car, have complete shaker assembly correct to the motor 351c with base, top, midplate(vaccuum holds pressure) and snorkel. Seal on shaker needs replaced and the base isnt rust but on the underneath is a little bent up from a prior distributor or carb fitment issue where the dented it in to fit. Car also has a ribbon tach dash that moves freely. This also has an original wire harness for the tach(VERY HARD TO LOCATE). Parts- 2 shaker hoods both need repair work underneath but are both original and fixable, nice trim ring included, comes with a bench seat from a 69 that is in poor shape but see my other auctions. Rimblow 3 spoke steering wheel and auto floor shifter. Comes with all glass, alot of trim, interior pieces, 2 extra doors, 2 xtra fenders, multiple front and rear fender/quarter extensions. NICE NICE hideaway grill set up included with this car along with 2 other gt grilles. Extra decklid one on car though is in ridiculous condition. gas tank, original dash and a black one in better shape but needs a cover or restored. 2 extra back windows and a gt door panel set, racing mirrors but remote has broken knob. Too many more parts to list individually as this was a lifetime collection of parts. Options currently, hideaway grille, shaker, auto 351 4v cleveland, floor shift, ribbon tach, power front drum brakes and power steering. I will be posting the Marti report tom to see if this is actually a real shaker car. Which could be a 25-30 grand car restored correctly. That may be a little high but def a 20 plus thousand dollar car restored correctly if original shaker gt. Now for the Bad- Car was hit in the drivers rear quarter at one time, all of this was left exposed and rust started as it sat outside. Rust throughout driver trunk drop off, wheel well, 8x8" section under driver passenger back seat(needs patch) and a full rear quarter(luckily I have an old drag car that had a sherman rear quarter lower half installed) Not the best quality metal but nobody else makes these. I will be cutting off the FULL DRIVERS rear quarter off this car and including it with this car. I have other stuff you can add in other auctions of mine to this car if you chose to do so- Complete 4 speed setup, hump, pedals, bellhousing and toploader correct for a 70 torino, Rehupholstered bucket seats(black and very hard to find), center console driver condition and the rare elusive 4 speed shifter plate. I'm open to offers on this car and can work out a package deal for the right price with the other stuff if you decide to go that way. My reserve is very low on this car. Try finding another muscle car with all these neat original goodies at this price I doubt you will not to mention 95% of the floor pans are going to be original. Torque boxes great. Please ask questions. The last picture is the car I will be cutting the full quarter panel section from. I will be adding the Marti report tommorrow night to find out exactly what this car came with originally for everybody to see. A set of headers are also being included this car has dual exhaust. Marti Report added this is a shaker car with the original parts. Torinos are rare while other muscle cars are a dime a dozen. These are unique and a few people wont even know who manufactured it. Its a really cool ride.
