Vehicle Detail
1965 FORD Mustang FASTBACK.... Rollin' Body PROJECT, This car needs complete restoration, it is a complete body with wheels, axles, rack and pinion steering, 9 inch rear axle, it was set up to fit any BIG BLOCK motor, it has tons of room under the hood as the shock towers have been eliminated and a Mustang 2 front suspension set up is now on the car, The front frame rails of the car are in excellent condition no rust at all and re-enforced where the mustang 2 cross member is fitted, for extra strength, the shock towers have been removed and flat plates welded in place so now an extra large motor can be fitted, it has disc brakes on the front, I was going to fit the 4 overhead cam motor in it like the late model Mustang Cobra, and the old type Lincoln MK8 The car has been set up with a 9 inch rear axle, I was told it's a posi 9 inch, But I'm not really sure, The rockers are solid, all around the engine compartment is solid and rust free, the floor is shot and needs replacing, the pass side floor has a hole in it and the drivers side has been patched up before, so really the whole floor should be replaced, The rear frame rail drivers side seems to be in very good shape no rot looks solid, But the pass side frame rail is shot, rusted through and needs to be replaced, the axle is great, the springs are good, the trunk area where the tank sits is very good and solid, back panel of car is in good shape, the rear quarter panels inner is good on pass side, on the drivers side it is rusted at the bottom, both the rear quarter panels have been patched up before, No Hood, The car can be towed on a trailer okay, No problem, it steers good, and rolls good, it's a lot of work for someone, but when finished these car are getting more and more valuable every year, and harder to find, These car are possibly the easiest to restore and parts are available for these old mustang many repo stuff is available and lots of old mustang junk yards I can't think of anything else to tell you right now, if you have any questions just let me know.
