I have retired and am selling my commuter car. This car has been very reliable and gets over 40 mpg. This is the German made Jetta not made in Mexico. This motor can run bio-diesel with no conversion, 5-speed. Fun little car to drive. I have completely went through the car last Fall, many new parts including, alternator, starter, battery, seals on injector pump, glow plugs, hoses and belts, brakes, cv joints, wheel bearings and tires. Also includes many spare parts, including Chiltons manual, see picture. Everything works except cruise control, A/C needs charged but blows cool. What needs fixed, brakes need bled, works but have to pump once. Headliner is falling down and gear shift needs a boot cover. Odometer is stuck at 178000 but probably closer to 250,000. Diesel starts easy, no leaks, small oil drip when started but uses less then a quart between changes. Tires have less then 3000 miles on them. A great little clean no rust car with great fuel economy both around town and on the highway.
