Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is a gorgeous head turning 1970 Buick Riviera show car. The car has had a ton of money spent on it over the last several years by its owner. Great paint work, smooth running 360 HP engine, new interior in factory correct fit and trim etc. The car is stored in a climate controlled garage, the owner is 76 years old and has failing eye sight and has asked that the car be sold. The car has only been driven to a few car shows each year over the past couple of years. The motor runs beautifully with true dual exhaust and a nice hot rod rumble to the exhaust system. Brakes are great, interior is new and includes a custom pair of cup holders fashioned into the fold down armrest. Options include a/c, power trunk release, power windows (don't remember if there are power locks). Tilt wheel and the sportier GS 3 spoke steering wheel also compliment the interior. Both sets of rear wheel skirts are included in the sale. It's a great running car that WILL be sold, the owner says it needs to go. Reserve is very low / reasonable. You can email me and I will give you the owners phone number so that you can speak directly with the seller. I am listing it for him as he struggles to see and type. On Jul-21-12 at 05:57:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received a lot of inquiries regarding the condition of the underside of the car, rust and the paint job. I've taken a lot of photo's to provide visual descriptions of each category and will share my observations here: In a word to describe the underside of the car, I would say WOW! I'm restoring a 72 Skylark from Arizona and only wish my car were this incredible looking. All floor pans appear to be original I could not locate any but and weld seams from the vantage points I had. The frame is rock solid and scale or rust free. The underside drops behind the rear wheels have no visual repairs and are solid. I did not see any rust anywhere on this car. The paint work is very nice the finish is bright and smooth I looked over the flat surfaces of trunk lid and roof and did not find any fish eyes. The hood has two stone chips that were filled in - remember this car had been driven to shows over the past few years so this should be expected. The chrome bumpers are rock solid the backside of each shows no rust issues. The chrome is 42+ years old and some of the luster is gone but from 5' back you wouldn't worry one bit about what you see. Rechroming the bumpers in my opinion would only be at the desire of the new owner nothing to do with necessity.
