This is a parts car. It has been a Texas car all its life. The reason you should want this parts car is to keep your 107 Mercedes 380sl on the road a bit longer. It had helped me keep my other 380sl on the road for about 10 years now. As you can see, it has been picked over pretty good. The front end clip and radiator and lights are gone, although there is a dented front bumper that could be used. Rear tail lights, convertible top and top frame are missing, and the engine is blown due since 2006 due to the infamous timing chain problem with these engines, and it has sit in the hot dry north texas sun ever since. Since then, it has been a home to mice and even a Texas rattle snake, you get to keep the snake skin that I found in the trunk. It has been tarped, there is no rust on body parts to speak of since you might have heard that we haven't gotten much rain around these parts for a few years. What it has is good doors, trunk, glass, subframe, front and rear suspension and brake rotors are like new having been replaced right before the engine blew. You might be able to rebuild the engine block but it has been sitting a long time. If nothing else you can use it to avoid a core charge if you ned to get your 107 engine rebuilt. The frame is straight, I made a frankenstein car by taking the front clip off of this car, plus the engine, hood and front bumper and dropped it in my other mercedes which I bought on ebay from a guy who's son did a Risky Business impersonation and bashed in the front end of his dad's pride and joy. I bought it cheap from a third party and used the parts from this car to make a sweet daily driver. So the hood and the engine you see on this car are actually from the car that is my daily driver. The tires on this parts car have been flat since about 2008, so you may have to flat tow this car. What you see is what you get. Don't think you're going to rebuild this car because you won't. But if you have a 380sl or are about to buy one of these classic rides, then you need a parts car for your own. Why? If you get in a fender bender you'll have to either get cheap third party body parts or suspension parts, or you'll have to buy pieces from Mercedes in Germany. If you do the former, you'll be amazed on how cheap quality the replacement body parts are in comparison to the real deal, but if you buy from Mercedes, you'll weep about the prices and it could take weeks to get. So look at this car as a way to have parts on hand real cheap. Now, here's the deal. Every time I've sold a car on ebay I get numbskull questions from tons of people people who think I am a U-pick 'em lot. I'm not, I have a real demanding job and I hate spending my time answering questions like that. So if you send me a question about whether this part or that part are available in hopes I'll list it and sell it to you if this parts car does not sell, I will, but I'll set the price of any part off of this car at $2,500. So you're probably better off just bidding on what's left of this Mercedes 380sl parts car with blown 107 engine and you'll get it for less than the part you're looking for. Plus you'll be happy knowing you;re getting the bonus Texas rattlesnake skin. This parts car comes with a clean TX title.
