this is a great subaru forester. i bought this car a few years ago for my son's college transportation. after a few short months, the motor was loosing oil, and i contacted the subaru dealer that i bought the car from. he gave me all kinds of stories, but no warranty and no help in fixing it. i gave the car to my mechanic, and we located an engine with 80k miles on it. had the engine installed, and while it was out, changed the entire clutch assembly, and any necessary items. i also replaced rear wheel bearings. the car now runs like new! my son uses the car now only for weekends because he bought a newer car. he also put in a new cd-stero. the car has power windows, power door locks, and the coldest air conditioning you can stand! the tires have about 90% thread...these were replaced in january. the cloth interior is almost new, with little signs of wear. the body has dents and scratches, passenger rear door and right front fender in particular. overall, paint condition is very good, and shines like new.i have taken pictures of the dents. the check engine light just started coming on, and my mechanic said it is the oxygen sensor. car runs great. it has fog lights, and new rubber mats, including the large "forester" rubber cargo mat. you can drive this car across country! as you can imagine, i have spent a lot of money to make this car safe and reliable for my son, now someone else can enjoy it for a fraction of my investment.
