Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1973 Triumph TR6. This car has one of the most popular color combinations of White paint with new Black interior. This is a Southern car originally purchased in Georgia from Baker Motor Co., then sold to the next owner in Tennessee, then sold to me in Alabama. I have the original purchase records. The car is a Total Restoration. The car was rust-free. The odometer displayed 55,022 and was not operating when I acquired the car. It was replaced with another speedometer/odometer displaying 82,000. The exact mileage is unknown. Approximately 300 new parts have been installed. Following is a partial list of replaced parts. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION The engine was totally rebuilt with new GP-2 Performance Cam Shaft, Rings and Bearings, from the Good Parts Co. There was no measurable wear in the cylinders and was only honed with the standard bore. The crank was ground to 0.010 inch undersize. New Timing Chain, Gears, Seals, and Tappets were installed. The cylinder head was rebuilt by Southern Cylinder Head Rebuilt Carburetors and all new seals. New Pertronix Ignition and Flame Thrower Coil for reliability. An SS carburetor heat shield with silica insulation was installed The engine has approximately ten hours of break-in driving. A new Clutch and Release Bearing, Clutch Master Cylinder and Clutch Slave Cylinder are new. The Brake Master Cylinder was replaced, Calipers were rebuilt, Slave Cylinders were rebuilt or replaced; new Brake Hoses were installed along with new Brake Pads and Rear Shoes. Exhaust System Pipes, Muffler, and Clamps were replaced. The transmission and drive train are smooth and shift properly. The Engine Damper was rebuilt by Damper Dudes. INTERIOR The Top was replaced after the top frame was refurbished and repainted. The interior was redone including new panels, fabrics and carpet. A Solid Walnut Dash Board was installed. A new Windshield was fitted with new Rubber Seals. The seats were stripped to the frame, repainted and rebuilt with new materials and Black Vinyl as original. All the Door Handles, Window Cranks, and Window and Door Seals were replaced. All Dash Control Knobs are new. All gauges, Tachometer, Speedometer, Odometer and controls work properly. The Trunk Interior was completely replaced. A new jack and tools are provided. A full size tire is in the trunk. A metal fan duct replaced the original cardboard duct. A new Retro look Full Feature Radio and two, three-way speakers were installed. A new Headlight Wire Harness with Relays was installed. EXTERIOR Car paint was completely stripped, etch/sealed, primed and painted with DuPont Nason Urethane Catalyzed paint. A few door parking lot dings are still evident.
