1977 Porsche 911S Sunroof Coupe NO RESERVEOn Jul-10-12 at 04:39:11 PDT, seller added the following information: 1977 Porsche 911S Sunroof CoupeNO RESERVE -- NO RESERVE -- NO RESERVE -- NO RESERVE Runs and drives extremely well, however, it's sometimes hard to start. More detail below.Comes with 2 sets of front Porsche Seats, including original green front Sport Seats (a total of 4 front seats)The green Sport Seats have been shrink-wrapped and stored upside down, carefully behind the currently mounted seats for transport purposes for the new owner (that would be you)The green Sport Seats need to be recoveredThe currently mounted black Porsche seats are power-assist for the driverThe driver seat (and the passenger seat) slides back and forth manually, however to use driver power-assist function it needs to be connected to electric powerSome days the car will not start, or starts but is hard to start. Other days it starts perfectly easily. I took a video on a day it was hard to start which you will see below. It started a few times in the video so you get to hear it humming nicely, but then it stopped running each time.I'm told this is a simple repair, which is just replacing the cold-start valve.Includes a CIS fuel injection airbox pop-off flapper valveNeeds a new air filterThere is a fuel leak coming from on or near the gasoline tank which makes a fuel smellBrakes feel goodTires are 4 new Kumho'sHas original collapsible spareClean and clear Florida titleShifts through all 5 forward gears great as well as reverseClutch feels goodSteering feels fineHasn't been in regular use on the road consistently in many yearsI have had it out only for short tripsComes with a whale-tale wing, pictured in embedded album, shrink-wrapped, currently stored in car currently above shrink-wrapped Sport Seats behind currently mounted seats for transport to new owner (you)Comes with original Owner's Manual, and some records from Original OwnerVery cool rare features include: heated mirrors, sport seats, headlight sprayers, sunroofIncludes hand-painted wheel center caps (aka hub caps), which is a $550 upgradeOriginal Porsche "cookie-cutter" style wheels which look amazing, especially with the brand new tiresIn Addition to the Title, You May Also have a Bill of Sale and a Copy of My Driver's License If You WishThe Title Can Also Be FedEx'd, Faxed, anywhere, if it helps youIf you contact me before the auction ends about transport, I may offer to contribute to your transport costs as a sign and token of good faith and well wishes...I want the car to go to someone who will appreciate it even if it's going far away You are bidding on a 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe. This car was recently taken out of long-term storage to liquidate my collection of Porsches. It has 4 New Matching Kumho tires. An original 1991 Florida License Plate is included, as well as a genuine German plate on the front. You would not be able to drive this car home without at the very least getting the fuel leak fixed, because you will risk a starting fire. For liability avoidance, I must state that all systems have to be professionally safety-checked for operation in addition prior to your use of this car. There is nothing being intentionally hidden about this Porsche, as so many people do in ads and auctions, as you'll see very clearly from about 800 total pictures and multiple videos in the auction. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 13 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about the car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I have gone far out of my way by shooting hundreds and hundreds of photos not just of every imaginable angle, but also in multiple lighting conditions, even multiple cameras, and I did videos for you -- by doing this you don't have to rely on a seller's "interpretation" of characteristics of the car, but instead you can draw your own conclusions from what you see. My goal is that if you use everything I provide to you, you get a more thorough demonstration of the car than if you came to see a car in person. I also go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. I work hard to make sure I get specific positive feedback comments; I don't take it lightly, and it means a lot to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the Porsche without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)!Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and video as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strongly recommends the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and letting the photos do the talking, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. That said, I will still gave you my impression of the Porsche's characteristics above as a secondary analysis. I have been registered on eBay nearly 13 years and have 100% positive feedback. If your impression of a picture/video differs from what I've written or said, then your own opinion should govern your conclusion. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, which eBay indicates is always the preferred method of communication. I will usually answer within 24 hours. I wish the new owner of this superb 35+ year old car unlimited and unending happiness with his or her new acquisition, and hope it goes to someone who appreciates it all. Auction Rules: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person to be transacted at a bank during banking hours or bank wire transfer only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) If you insist on using a check, the check may only be drawn from a bank with a South Florida branch and it will be made out to your name where you will then convert it into cash in front of me or my representative before paying. If you don't do this you'll have to wait a minimum of 6 weeks for the check to fully clear and you will incur unavoidable storage charges. If you pay by cash, I will meet you in a local branch to accept the cash and it will be deposited immediately and obviously the bank teller will check each currency note for legitimacy. I will not deviate from these rules. The trunk perlon felt as pictured is not included. The one you see pictured cost $65 new, or you can spend much more on one as you like. Trunk liners are a personal preference, and it's better for you to pick the one you like. The grille on the engine cover (I'm not referring to the engine cover itself, rather just the grille) is not included, however, a whale-tale as pictured in the Photo Bucket album embedded below, is included and gets mounted where the grille is. If you prefer to have a grille rather than a whale-tale, you can easily find one for sale online, such as on eBay. Pickup is due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is 100% FREE. There is a storage charge of $350/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). If you want to avoid these storage fees but can't pick up the car for months, I can set you up with a public storage unit under your name, put the car in there and FedEx you the keys, title, etc., as long as you have paid in advance. You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. Any inspections must occur prior to the auction end. I do not offer a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of personal philosophy -- this Porsche is As Is with absolutely no warranty of any kind expressed or implied. Other than what is seen in videos/pictures, no testing of this car or its mechanical/electrical aspects of have been done and there is no implication that something works on it that hasn't been specifically demonstrated to be working in a video or text; you should not assume something works or is present that would have worked or was present when this 35 year old car was new or safely on the road. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of personal philosophy -- this Porsche is As Is with no warranty. You get the Porsche as pictured, captured in the videos, and described, a clean a clear title, a Bill of Sale and copy of my Driver's License if you wish, the German license plate, the 1991 Florida License Plate, at least one key, and if their inclusion is indicated in the description or pictures: records, books, documentation, brochures, etc. The following slideshow of Album 1 automatically displays more than 50 pictures, followed by an album below with more than 750 pictures. The second slide show below will automatically display the first 100 of the 750 available pictures. To view the remainder of the picture, right-click near the bottom right of the album window where it says "View all" and select Open in new tab or Open in new window: The following movie demonstrates a walk around of this Porsche 911S along with accessory operation, followed by an engine start video. This allows you to gain an in-person impression of the car with a different perspective than photographs alone. It also shows door open/close and it shows hood/boot/bonnet/engine cover operation. And finally the following video shows a cold-start of the 911S on a day when it was hard to start. This happens sometimes. I had intended to give you a road demonstration of the car, but ultimately I was not able to keep it running so I couldn't do that video for you. I am glad you can hear the engine running very smoothly though, especially since it has a such a great, deep, throaty sound. If I have time, I will go out another day and get it running and video a road demonstration for you. You'll note and see that I was standing outside the car with both feet on the ground (didn't touch the accelerator once while it was running) -- you are never supposed to touch the accelerator pedal when starting a CIS fuel injected 911. I mention this to underscore the oscillations in engine speed (RPM slightly higher to slower to higher again) were being controlled by the engine management system itself and not by me. The car does this engine speed variation sometimes while it is warming up for a few minutes.
