1963 RENAULT CARAVELLE VIN: R10920060536 THERE ARE OVER 50 IMAGES OF THIS VEHICLE BELOW THE DESCRIPTION! DESCRIPTION: This 1963 Renault Caravelle roadster is a great looking car and it was recently discovered in a local barn where it has been left sitting for years! After brushing off some of the grave dust, the spark plugs were removed and lubricant was inserted into the cylinders. Following turning the engine over by hand, a new battery was added and the process continued with the aid of the starter motor. After bottle feeding some fresh fuel into the carburetor the engine roared to life and it ran as if it had just been turned off the night before! No strange noises or rattles and not even a trace of smoke.This scarce 2-door convertible has the cloth fold down top as well as the desirable factory hardtop, which was an option. The full interior is stock with only the addition of some cheap red shag carpeting and some interesting gray fabric covering the bucket seats in the front. Some of the knobs are missing and the sun visors are toasted. The bright work is amazingly intact and probably more than 90% is present and respectable. The trunk (or boot) area shows evidence of some metal repair which was nicely done. Take a close look at how original the body and undercarriage are and how it shows minimal rust through or corrosion. This Caravelle does have seat belts which will provide additional protection for the occupants. The doors open and close easily and the trunk and engine lid are also in perfect working order. The windows roll up and down like a breeze and all of the vent windows front and rear are functional. There are two spare tires (one shown) that will come with the car and possibly a few other replacement items. The car is NOT drive-able in its present condition.
