1948 DODGE FIVE WINDOW B1B ½ TON TRUCK - PROJECT TRUCK – SPARE PARTS New and Used VIN: T14228889 Licensed - Clear Title For auction is a non-running 1948 Dodge B-1B 5 window ½ ton pick-up. Included are various extra parts for the project listed below. SOLD AS-IS. This Dodge truck has a name, “Brutus” that was handed down from a previous owner. I am the 4th owner of Brutus. This is a non-running truck that is about 95% complete. I have owned Brutus since 1987 and it has been a non starting project for about the last ten years! The truck was running when it was parked years ago. The brakes went first and I never wanted to move it after that. Recently the wheels were cleaned and painted. Also, a good set of used tires and new tire tubes were installed. The body is in fair condition, with the exception of the driver side front fender that was crunched by a garbage truck years ago. The truck still has 6 volt positive ground system. Electric fuel pump added by previous owner. To the best of my knowledge the drive train is original to the truck. The truck bed may be off of a later year Dodge. Wood bed is a piece of plywood. The emergency brake system is not installed in the truck. I have some of the e-brake parts, but not sure if they’re all there. New parts for the restoration project have a retail value of over $700. This is a reproduction of the original. SOLD “AS-IS” Brutus worked at the Kaiser Steel Plant in Napa, California, starting as the Plant Manager’s truck in 1948. Next, Brutus moved to the Santa Rosa area in 1969, where he has been ever since.
