Vehicle Detail

This is a 1953 Studebaker Champion 4 door sedan With 64490 orginal miles. It was upgraded in 1996 at 51000 miles to a 1958 President drive train. It was driven as our tour car to car shows and Studebaker National meets for a number of years. I have not driven it much in the last five years but it is still ready to go. The AC is not working and the tires are over 10 years old. The brakes have Dot 5 fluid in them and they work but may need to be freshened up. The whole drivetrain was rebuilt and upgraded and is still in good shape. Engine was rebuilt, bored 40 over, 10/10 crank, new oil pump, tri metal bearings, Aluminum timing gear, WCFB 4 barrel and the NOS air cleaner was converted to a dry elliment. It had a new water pump in 2012 and fuel pump in 2011. The clutch, transmission and drive line were rebuilt with all new parts. It has a Heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. It has a Spicer 44 Twin Track 3:31 rear axle with big finned brakes on all four wheels. The front end was rebuilt with new springs and a sway bar was added in the rear. It has a 1955 coupe radiator with a six blade fan. The car was converted to 12 volts with a delco alternator and the wiper motor, heater motor, defroster motor and overdrive solenoid being changed out. The gauges all work fine with a solid state voltage regulator that i built. Battery was replaced in 2010. The Ac is still on R-12 freon and needs to be converted and recharged. The interior is mostly orginal and shows wear. The car was painted in the mid 70's and still looks pretty good. It has defects such as chips and if you look close it shows its age. The left rear door glass is cracked and i do have a replacement window for it. The chrome is showing its age but it is not all pitted just getting thin. Bumpers have scratches and scuffs. This car has been a driver and it will run as fast as you dare. I do not recomend driving it home cross country until the tires are replaced and it is checked over in this hot summer.*** A paypal deposite of $300 is due within 48 hours of closing and full payment is due within 7 days of closing. Bank transfer or chash in person.Cashiers checks must clear before car is released. selling to lower 48 states only. Payment from US banks only.*** . Pickup is within 30 days of closing unless seller gives a extension I have a number for a shipper that can get it to you cheaper than you can do yourself. . Thanks for looking Mark
