For sale is a 1931 Pontiac Businessman's Coupe that is in very good condition. These cars had a trunk instead of a rumbleseat and were set up for the person that the name suggests, a salesman. As a matter of fact it was owned years ago by a country doctor who made his rounds in it. It runs and drives great and is very dependable. The car has been driven on tours and various outings. It likes being driven at speeds up to 45 MPH. The car shows quite well as I have attended AACA meets and other venues where the car has drawn attention not only for appearance but because it is a Pontiac. I have owned the Pontiac for 11 years and was told at the time of purchase that it had an older restoration that was done in the late 40's or early 50's. That being said, the lacquer paint has some spiderwebbing and paint is chipping on the roof corner. However there is no rust or metal deteroation. The top of the car is original and is treated annually with canvas treatment for preservation. I do not believe the interior is original but it is correct to the period and is in great condition. The car is garage kept. The engine was completely rebuilt some 7000 miles ago and the wiring harness was replaced. The car comes with a complete additional drive train and misc extra parts meaning an engine, transmission, front and rear axles and numerous other parts in between. I also have brake drums and wire wheels that with reconditioning you could convert from the wood wheels if you so desired some day. Any questions call 757-737-1931.
