Vehicle Detail
This is a decent 1929 Model A Coupe. By this I mean, it is better than most unrestored, original cars available. It runs, and with some additions, you should be able to drive it --specifically, it needs 2 front brake rods which are available at all Model A vendors for approx $12. each, and the seat in the car is not a Model A seat, but could be useable - this is all I observed.. But it would be an excellent car to restore. I purchased the car so here are my observations of it: ---Title - it has a clear Minnesota title. ---Motor - runs OK. ---Radiator - holds water fine. ---Hood - basically complete - decent with some minor dents. ---Front fenders - some weld, some dents, some breaks ---Headlights - complete ---Horn - original Stewart-Warner A'oogah type. ---Gas tank - ;looks good ---Cowl sides --look solid ---Doors - good, solid, no holes in bottom - one looks like it has a small patch ---Running board panels - look solid ---Running boards - probably should be replaced ---Rear fenders - the fenders on the car are for 1930-1931 models and don't fit correctly. I am also furnishing the correct rear 1928-1929 fenders with the car. ---Deck lid - good, solid ---Inside trunk - missing floor panels which are available from Model A vendors. ---Inside rear fender body - rust holes, replacement parts are available. ---Subrails - the short part that angles up and attaches to the firewall - both are missing but are available from Model A vendors. ---Interior - all moldings are present, no door panels, or ceiling or rear corners, or package tray The seat present is not Model A., but use it if you wish. ---Windshield - looks good, but I prefer safety glass and I can't tell what this is ---Outer Windows - door windows and rear window look good and are glass. The side quarter windows are plastic. I also prefer safety glass in all windows. ---Tires - four (4) appear new, or almost new. They are Firestone, the sidemount tire should be replaced. --Battery - is brand new, never used, just purchased. --Windshield wiper - none. --Roof - is a piece of metal. ---Brake rods - front two are missing. --Trunk possibility - while a trunk is not part of this sale, by having a sidemount spare tire, the back of the car is left open to add a trunk rack and trunk. This is frequently done, and it works well-looks great and provides much storage space for overnight trips. I, personally, have done body-off restorations on two Model A's and this car is in better condition than either of those were.to start with. A Coupe is a very desirable, fun car and this one is/will be also.
