You are bidding on a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL . This is a rare car with a 6.3L engine and a factory sun roof! INTERIOR : is all original and looks decent for its age, but would look awesome if you spent some time to restore it to new condition. EXTERIOR: Also looks very decent for its age, this is its original color and was repainted at one time. It is faded, does have some scratches, dings. Again, can be used as-is or would look awesome if you spent some time restoring the exterior. This car has all its original sheet metal and floor pans, this car appears not to have any rust issues.. ODOMETER : The milage on the odometer reads 87k , and since there are only 5 digits and I have not owned this car its entire life, I can not guarantee if the actual milage is 87k, 187k or 287k . but judging by how original and unmolested this car is, I wouldn’t be surprised if the true milage is only 87k. ENGINE: This Mercedes has been parked for the last 7 years. The fuel pump was rebuilt at a cost of $700 , a brand new battery was installed, and it started up! Even though it did start up, I would recommend a full tune up, and a safety inspection of the entire drivetrain by a professional prior to driving. MISC: The suspension air bags were replaced in 2005 at a cost of $4800, and have zero miles on them. As with all of my auctions, this vehicle is being sold as – is with no guarantee or warranties.
