Vehicle Detail
For sale is this 2011 Golf TDI 2-door. The exterior color is United Gray Metallic, and the interior is Titan Black Cloth. It has the DSG 6-speed transmission (dual clutch automatic with Tiptronic and paddle shifters). Other Options include: Power Sunroof Bi-Xenon headlamps Touchscreen Navigation System Bluetooth Connectivity Cold Weather Package (Heated front seats and washer nozzles) I have attached pictures of the original sticker, and was $27,490 when new. If you're looking at this listing, you probably know how amazing the Golf TDI is, with fuel economy like a hybrid, and a sporty ride similar to the GTI. It can also store cargo as willingly as a small SUV. I believe it just won a Car and Driver comparison test of economical cars, and the Golf was on Car and Driver's 10Best list in 2011. I bought it new in January of 2011. It has the remainder of the factory bumper to bumper warranty, roadside assistance, and free scheduled maintenance (3 years / 36,000 miles). It is in excellent shape even for a 1 1/2 year old car, and has 14,100 miles on the odometer at the time of this listing (it will be my daily driver for the remainder of this week only, then will be garage kept until it is sold). I have averaged about 38 mpg overall in moderate to heavy traffic with mixed city / highway commuting. With low congestion highway driving, and keeping the speeds reasonable, I have had several trips over 50 mpg and even whole tanks in the mid to upper 40s. I am selling the car only because I have a bad habit of getting new cars every couple of years. My vehicular needs are changing soon, I won't have as long of a commute, so I'm getting something different. This Golf has been perfect to me. It has never had any unscheduled maintenance. It has never been in an accident. I don't have any door dings or scratches. None of the wheels has ever been curbed or scratched. There are a few of the typical stone chips low on the front bumper, but I haven't seen any major flaws on the hood. I don't smoke, and I don't allow anyone else to smoke in my cars. In fact, there were very rarely any passengers (mostly just commuted in it for work). The car has never been modified in any way, beyond the tires. I'm a car guy through and through, and the condition of the car reflects that. I am a believer in having separate tires for winter and summer. So, I replaced the original all-seasons with summer-only Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports in 225/45 17. Because I did not do this immediately when the car was new, and that I drove on winter tires during half of the car's life, these summer tires have probably less than 8,000 miles on them, and the tread depth is not much different than new. I also have a set of 16" winter (beater) wheels and almost new 16" winter tires, and would be willing to negotiate on these separate from the rest of the car, if someone is interested. I also have OEM rubber floor mats, never used - I will throw these in for free. No dealer inquiries, please. The winning bidder will place a deposit per the listing instructions. I will expect the remainder of the purchase price in the form of a Cashier's check or equivalent. I have the title in hand. I am happy to take a bank check if you secure a car loan. You can come see it in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL, if you would like. I am totally willing to cooperate with inspection(s) if this is a long distance transaction. I have shipped cars before when both buying and selling, so if you need information on that I may be able to help.
