For Sale an original ,rust free,1979 pontiac Trans Am .This Car is a true CAlifornia Blue Plate , survivor .It still has all its original factory red paint and red custom carmine interior .This TA was a customer order fro Steves Pontias in Los Gatos California .I have the original build sheet that comes with the car .It is beleived that this TA has 118 k miles .It still runs great and passed smog 1/10/12.It is currently registered until 2013 .The Original 6.6 liter V8 still runs strong as well as the transmission .The original factory air works great and still blows cold .As you can see in the pictures theORIGINAL paint is checked in many spots but is all there .On the passenger door it looks as if the previous owner ran the car through some substance that kicked up on the door, the drivers door looks as if some touch up might have been done as well as the checking in the paint is mostly in this area . The original interior seats ,carpet ,dash all need to be redone .Door panels are in good shape .The tires are almost brand new and this TA still has the original snow flake wheels .The new owner could leave that car alone and drive it AS a true survivor or restore an original unmolested California Trans Am .The build sheet was found under the drivers seat .I have not checked any other places so i would think there is another behind the rear seat .The paint in the jams look great as well as the original stickers are there .The engine compartment looks all original and the decals seem to be all there .
