Love my Mini Cooper convertible but the local Honda mechanic says the engine needs to be replaced and there is no Mini Cooper dealership anywhere close to me and the local mechanics say they can‘t replace the engine. I am selling this car AS IS as I do not have the time to deal with any car problems and as a female, I have been ripped off too many times on repairs. The Mini has 75,756 miles, brand new tires with only 500 miles on them and a brand new battery that was installed just hours before the car died on the highway. (Can you sense my frustration?) It does need a new windshield as it got hit with a rock when a truck passed by and it looks like a bullet hole to be honest. (Or you can keep the bullet hole look and make up one hell of a story to your friends.) I had to borrow a photo of what it looks like with the top down because as you can see it was raining the day I was leaving and I wasn‘t going to put it down in the rain. My Mini has the sports package model and the cold weather package which includes heated seats. The car had been serviced on April 4th, 2012 at the Mini Cooper dealership in Regina, Canada. I wouldn’t recommend them. They replaced the oil pan gasket, power steering pump and did an oil change for a mere $2362.39. So obviously if you email me questions you need to realize you are asking someone who knows nothing about what is happening under the hood of this car and due to my lack of knowledge about what happens under the hood I have become a victim of auto repair rip offs. I have been told that you can buy a engine on eBay for my mini for $1600 - and if I knew a reliable mechanic I might have gone that way - but I am done with mechanics and dealerships. I know someone out there who is mechanically inclined can fix my Mini and probably make a huge profit selling it. So my tragedy can be your victory. My beloved Mini needs someone who understands her and can take care of her. The car is parked at a dealership in Dickinson, ND as that is where the vehicle was towed too. Buyer will need to make their own arrangements for transporting the vehicle. For me, well I am contemplating on buying a horse and buggy but with my luck, the horse would die. Maybe a bicycle?
