I am selling my 1996 Jetta. Overall it is a great car, especially for the city. It has developed a fixable small transmission leak that only leaks after driving on the highway for a good distance. It needs a new gasket put in, but I have another car. Other than that it is a great dependable car. I am listing it low to accomidate for the transmission fix. I have been driving it for over a year with this issue and have never had a problem in the city. Have added fluid twice in that time after longer 100 mile+ trips. A bit of Lucas Transmission Fix Fluid and it is good to go. Let me know if you have any questions.
