Introduction I am proud to offer my 2003 VW Jetta TDI for sale. This Jetta (manufactured in 9/02 and purchased in 11/02) has been my trusty companion on the road for close to the last 10 years. I purchased it as a commuter car and it has been the best car I have owned. I am sad to see it go but it isn't the best vehicle to transport a toddler and all of the accessories he comes with. It is time to move on to something bigger... Condition / History /Features I am the original owner and the vehicle has never been smoked in. It was purchased new from a VW dealer in the Baltimore area. The car is in good condition. There are minor dings in the paint (see picture for example) but no major dents. The lower part of the front bumper became stuck on one of those concrete parking space bumpers a few years ago and became slightly dislodged when I moved the car in reverse. I attempted to reattach the bumper but it has never been 100% (see picture). The clear coat came off of the roof and left rear panel. It will need some attention in the future (see picture). On the interior, the shifter boot is worn (see picture), some of the door panels are drooping (see picture) and the headliner needs attention. The original radio failed and has been replaced with a Pioneer HD Radio that is Sirius/XM ready (you have to buy the Sirius/XM module to add the service...$150 for the module I think). The radio also has a USB connection on the front for iPod/iPhone/MP3 connectivity. As seen in the picture (iPhone shown for illustration purposes only) I have my iPhone connected to the radio. Also, there is a ProClip phone mount attached that will come with the car. There are no stains in the upholstery. Monster Mats are included as well as a trunk liner. Currently, and for most of the life of the vehicle, synthetic 5W40 motor oil has been used and changed at regular intervals. Timing belt and water belt changes were completed on time (every 100K for the ALH TDI motor). The car has not been inspected however, since March, the following has been completed: *NEW Garrett Turbocharger (VW OEM) assembly, including exhaust manifold and rigid oil line*NEW Timing belt and water pump (as well as tensioner and rollers)*NEW head and head gasket*NEW valves & lifters*NEW camshaft*Intake manifold cleaned*Oil change and fuel filter change within the last 1K miles Brakes and tires are fine, all power windows and locks work, cruise control works, heat & A/C work very well, suspension rides fine (shocks and struts have been replaced), all lights work, there are no fluid leaks, and the exhaust is in great condition (the catalytic converter has been replaced). As you can see from the pictures, the car is in overall great condition! It is very clean (even the engine compartment) and well cared for. Warranty There is no warranty offered for this vehicle.
