Vehicle Detail

Here is a nice, freshly restored Type II with a brand new 1-cylinder Honda clone engine & Comet Clutch. This car has approximately 300 miles on it since the restoration. I rescued this car from a Red Oak, TX barn last January 2012. I had to make a new cowl (hood); has one of Skip Weaver's reproduction fiberglass grill; I had to make a new trunk lid as well. It has new brakes, new oak dashboard, NOS Sheller correct steering wheel, new brake cables, all new interior & carpet, new brown light canvas top, it has a custom lid on the rear deck that covers gas tank access & a large grocery/luggage trunk. It has a new windshield & windshield rubber, new front tires, all new wiring, new Dietz headlights & new 1937 Chevy taillights. The Honda-clone engine is a 13-hp Harbor Freight Predator engine, electric start, of course. The car runs & drives just fine, exactly like a King Midget should - windy, noisy, & knobby. If you have never driven a King Midget, you are in for a treat. They are just plain fun. It is like driving a large go-kart - no more, no less. It tops out around 45 mph & I will include with the sale, the original 7.5 hp AEN Wisconsin engine & I am here to tell you, it is one sweet running original old Wisconsin engine with no problems at all. I decided to go with the 13 hp modern overhead valve engine to make it a little peppier for modern traffic. Although with the 7.5 hp engine it would go 45 mph but it gets there much faster with the 13 hp modern OHV engine & Comet clutch. As the pictures show, it is a pretty nice appearing car with all the fresh paint, pinstriping & such. Although I will admit, I am not much of a body man & it is not a 100 point show winner. It is just a nicely restored show & shine street car. Now I would like to talk about possible trades - PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AS I AM A VERY SPECIFIC PERSON. I would be interested in trading this straight up for a 1946 to 1953 pickup. Here's the deal - the pickup HAS TO BE short bed & standard shift. The only exception to this is if it has a late model engine & still has the original clutch pedal parts so I could convert it to standard shift. Please don't call me & tell me you have a 1921 Swamp Angel or a 1955 Caterpillar tractor, or a nice boat, or any other stuff you have got. I am only interested in a short bed, standard shift Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Hudson, Fargo, Studebaker, Plymouth or otherwise early American pickup. I do not want a project truck or junk. I want something of equal value to this car. The blue book sees a Type 2 King Midget as pretty rare & worth $7000 or $8000 in top condition. FOOEY!! I am not one of those hairpins that thinks their stuff is worth more than it is - I hate those fools & I will never be one of them. The auction starts at $20 bucks with no reserve. The King Midget car buying public will decide what it is worth & it will sell to the highest bidder. Look at my feedbacks - 348 of them all positives. If you have to ask your wife or your husband or your mommy - perhaps this is not the car for you. I will not put up with buyer's remorse. Also, please CALL IF YOU WANT TO DISCUSS THIS CAR - I HATE EMAILS!! Please don't call to ask or write to ask how much it will cost to ship a 525 lb, 4 ft x 8 ft Micro car to PuppyAnus OK or Pigsnout AK. I am not in the shipping business. It will be up to you to arrange for shipping. I will help load it & tie it down but I won't call a shipping company for everyone who wants to know what it will cost to send it to Cownipple CO. My name is Frank Bird; my phone number is (951) 658-9386. Good luck & God bless.
