I am selling this for a friend so any questions need to be called to Roy @(951)927-4172. For sale today is a nice 1955 pontiac star chief custom SD. This is an original rust free california car bought on historic route 66 @ mission pontiac off of "E" st. in sanbernadino. My uncle bought in late 1954 and lived only three blocks away,i bought it from him in 1979 with my paper route money. I only drove this car for five years until i bought a new truck in 1984 and lost interest in the pontiac. It has been garaged for the last 15 years at my home. This car comes with many options like the rare indian star chief illuminated hood emblem which is sought after by collectors, and the working under hood trouble light which has a cord that reaches past the trunk. The factory 12 volt system is nice and still has the factory am radio with an uncut dash. The dual heater system is nice also,it has a heat extanger under the dash and a second under the drivers seat to heat the back seat. The electric window wipers are far superior than the vaccum stlye and work well. This car has some light surface rust but NO HOLES anywhere! Very clean for it's age. The 287 cu. in. engine is complete even has oil bath air flter, and the transmission is a four speed hydra-matic. Engine turns over but no fuel to carb. It is in exellent condition for restoration and was a very luxurious and dependable car to drive. I am letting it go because I need room in the garage and have finally realised i will never restore this vehicle. I really would love to see it on the road again.
