1962 Mercury Meteor S 33. This is an outstanding vehicle that needs nothing. Buy it drive it home today. Very low mile V8 and automatic transmisson are original to the vehicle. Engine has been rebuilt (althought it really didn't need it); the only reason it was rebuilt was due to sludge in the engine. When the machine shop hot tanked the block it meant replacing the cam bearings. Engine was not bored and retains its original pistons. New rings,bearings,cam,lifters,oil pump etc. were replaced and hardened valve seats were added. All interior except carpet is original. There is a place on the drivers seat where the stiching has come loose, it is under the seat back and is not visible when the seat is up. An easy fix if it bothers you. Can be seen in picture. All gauges,radio,horn,lights etc. work. Vehicle retains most of its original paint and is nice. Floorboards and all underneath is solid. This car has spent most of its 50 years in a garage. The package tray and even the top of the rear seat is not all faded looking from sunlight. The top of the dash is not faded. Includes original wheels and hubcaps and nice bias ply tires and new wheels and tires with less than 1000 miles on them. Test drives, independant appraisal, or third pary inspections are welcome.
