With great remorse, I am selling my 1985 Westy. I just have too many projects/toys and have a large travel trailer camper that we usually use...wife says the hippy bus has to go. Must go to a good home. In great condition. Interior in excellent condition including seats, carpet and original rug. This is the second year of the water-cooled boxer engine...actually has HEAT...both front and rear! I have owned for two years and brought back to its glory including new clutch, new propane tank (larger than original), exhaust work, new wheels and tires, new axle and bearings (passenger side), brake work, tuneup, shift linkage work, fan motor, fog lights (funky multi-color), new stereo with CD and MP-3/ipod connector and 4 new speakers. Runs great, does not leak or burn oil.3-way fridge works great, water pump and stove work great...still has original sticker in sink...I don't think this was camped in much. Passed MA inspection in January...all lights and features work as they are supposed to. Has all original interior curtains including one for the skylight and rear screen that installs with tailgate up. Includes windshield sun reflector and new car cover. I have taken it on 2-hour trips and would trust driving this thing anywhere. Everything works with the following exceptions; AC needs fan blades in rear ceiling mount motor, rear wiper is disconnected because it won't turn off - may need switch, city water connection is disconnected and exterior fill pipe to water tank disconnected, odometer just quit. It shows a few dings but is very presentable as is. It shows minimal surface rust on a couple seams, as common with this model. The galley was removed from the van interior and body seams on that side were sanded down and treated with POR 15 prior to reassembly. Couple pinholes show through pop-top canvas. A small area of cracking on right rear corner, just above taillights...looks like a small bondo patch (see photo). Have original 14-inch wheels /tires and mudflaps to go with the fan, also a second set of 16-inch snow tires that fit alloy rims. Please be aware that this is a binding auction.
