Up for grabs is the extremely original 1968 Buick GS400 Convertible. I recently bought this car from a good friend of mine whose father bought it new in 1968. It was a present to himself after his return from Vietnam. The car was his pride and joy. In the mid 80’s he passed away and the car was put into climate controlled storage until last month when we pulled it out and got it running. I personally have driven the car and must say it runs and drives very well. Engine has plenty of power and transmission seems to shift well. This car is equipped with power windows and a/c. Vehicle Condition: I try to be very honest when describing my vehicles. Hence, my perfect feedback. So here goes. This car was restored in the early eighties. From what I understand it had nominal body work and was repainted. Looking at it today it is very presentable; up close it shows age and wear. Some signs of previous repairs nothing terrible. Please remember it has been in storage for years. The engine in the car is not original however I have what we have been told is the original block that a connecting rod destroyed. This car does run and drive well. However, I would say the car need to be gone through to be a reliable driver. Again, I want to be honest and I am not a Buick authority so I cannot guarantee it being original or not. Please be realistic. Ask all the questions you want prior to bidding and I will do my best to answer them to the best of my knowledge.
