This mercedes is a 3 owner classic. Car has new paint newer tires new carpet wood was refinished however some of it is slightly blistered from moisture. Trunk seal windshield and windshield seals are a month old. The chrome is in ok shape no rust but is dull up close in some spots. the body is in great shape these cars had terrible rust issues and i can say that somehow this one has made it 42 years with very minor rust the only 2 spots are where the left quarterpanel meets the trunk well which is down low and not very noticeable and a small section behind the right side tire thats it!! other than that the car has been very well taken care of i have 5 boxes of spare parts in the trunk that will go with the car. This car has a new pnuematic compensator not the cheap spring replacement which there is one that comes with it in the spare parts. Newer tie rod ends, fuel filter, air filter, coil, battery is one year old, ballast resistor is new, ac works but needs a charge. Pioneer cd player 6x9 speakers replace the old merc 4x9's that were in there also new speakers up front the original becker radio and amp will come with the car, hood star is brand new. Car smokes and is hard to keep running properly it is very tempermental as you can imagine being an antique mercedes if i service it and spend the time to tune it it will run awesome for about a month before i have to pull the plugs reset the points check the timing clean the throttle body etc. I have the valve seals and valve cover gasket they should stop the smoking and loss of oil the motor has very good compression and does run amazingly if well taken care of. I have most of the original books including the becker book kangol seatbelt book service history and some other stuff that comes with the car. I Would like a deposit within 48hrs of the close of the auction for 50% of the purchase price i am going to set the reserve low on this car so bid away. buyer is to arrange all shipping/transport of the vehicle car is being sold as is no warranties expressed or implied.
