This car was built in 1987 as a drag only car for NHRA and IHRA competition. It has been garaged constantly since built. It’s had less than 350 runs since built. Current engine has 86 runs to date. Transmission and rear end also have 86 runs since freshened. It has run a best of 10.023 at 133.67 with a 1.396 60 ft. leaving off the foot brake at 2000 rpm. It will run 10.15-10.20 consistently at 130 plus @ sea level. I normally ran VP-C12 race gas. The quality condition and performance shows as the car was just finished, with no dissapointments..... Built from 1989 1 ton truck 4 bolt main block, prepped, squared and zero decked. 60 over, 4.310 bored with torque plates NOS G.M. steel crankshaft standard/standard 3.76 stroke. Highly modified 3/8 Chevy rods, fully floated, bushed, resized and equalized. Internally balanced rotating assembly. Wiseco ultralight forged pistons 12.9:1 Moroso 10 qt. pan, pump and welded pickup. Tilton super series gear reduction starter. Moroso complete electrical system kill switch. East coast electric 1 wire alternator, self exciting @2500 rpm. Moroso low mount with 4” aluminum drive pulley. 6” prostock Fluidamper SFI 18.1 # H001992 Boucher massaged Dart Merlin iron heads 2.19 Inatke, 1.88 Exhaust Premium Ferra stainless valves, Comp Cams springs and Titanium retainers. Comp Cams stainless 1.7:1 full roller rockers. Chet Hebert stud girdle. Moroso cylinder head and rocker studs. Boucher custom tall aluminum scripted valve covers. Moroso windage and valley trays. Factory 4 link rear with SSM lower control arms, Alston Chassis fully adjustable uppers. Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable drag shocks front and rear. Airlift rear spring adjustable airbags. FUEL SYSTEM Harwood 5 gallon fuel cell with foam. Barry Grant 280 series fuel pump. Barry Grant 5000 fuel filter. Barry Grant Braided fuel lines and AN fittings with 2 port regulator. System flows 1 gallon in 22 seconds at 12 volts. INTERIOR/FUNCTIONAL Harwood poly race seat and black padded cover and adjustable mount. G-force 3” 5 way harness SFI spec. 16.1 ( expired 4/10 ) B&M Prostick shifter with reverse lockout. Painless 6 switch panel and wiring harness. Autometer Procomp II 9000 rpm tach with memory. Autometer Ultralight 2 5/8” water temp, oil and fuel pressure, voltage gauges. Aotometer Pro shift light. To pass tech at New England Dragway, NHRA sanctioned will need. Transmission locking dipstick ($50) or tube plug ($5) Safety belt harness ($70) or current belts recertified. Transmission shield ($150) or current shield recertified.
