Always garaged & meticulously maintained , the only major work ever needed was a few years ago to the A/C system that works perfectly. The E-Class is known for its reliability & ruggedness, hence their worldwide use as taxis, Police & other service vehicles while still giving that Mercedes sense of style & luxury w/ much more reasonable repair costs compared to the S-Class. 136K miles is about 1/2 the life of the drivetrain in these long-lasting cars & this one needs nothing. Wife no longer drives, so this beautiful Benz must go. ~ CONDITION ~ Exterior: Paint shows no failure anywhere, just routine road chips up front, a few touch-ups, a scrape on the left rubber bumper guard & the most noticeable- a dent below the filler door. Otherwise very shiny, absolutely no rust & w/ a detailing will look even better than the pics. All glass, lenses & trim good. Both Headlight Wipers & Washers work. Interior: Shows NO perceptible wear & appears as a 2-3 year old car! Seats, door panels, dash, headliner - all Very Good to Show/Fine condition. With the exception of the left rear power window (most likely one of the switches or relay/fuse or due to not being used), EVERYTHING in this Mercedes WORKS! including the rear Power Sun Shade, Power Sun Roof-back & tilt, both Heated, Power seats w/ their inflatable seat & back bolsters. The A/C is cold, the rear headrests go down at the flick of the switch for better rear visibility, the radio w/ power antennae & all gauges work. All this is a testament to an exceptional car that was not neglected. Engine/Driveline: Strong, quiet, not detailed, but no drips or leaks. New Battery & belts, hoses etc. are good. Undercarriage: Dusty, un-detailed but dry, showing no rust , drips or leaks. Newer exhaust, NEW, almost unused tires on nice MB wheels w/ some curb rash on driver's side. Road Test/Mechanically: Car runs strong, smooth & quiet w/ no shimmy, shakes rattles or pulling. Steering & brakes are excellent, seamless shifting - feels & looks like a newer car, but then it is a well-maintained Mercedes after all. 19/24 MPG. SUMMARY An incredible car for the money whether as your daily driver, a back-up or the all-important, safe & well-engineered 1st car for your child. Mercedes strength & reliability w/ Dual, Front Air Bags & ABS all for a third of the price for a KIA or the like. Check out my other items!
