Vehicle Detail
edsfloridacars Store Quality Pre-Owned Vehicles That Are Fun To Buy! Thank you for considering my vehicle! My name is Ed Zarick and I have been a licensed and bonded, independent auto dealer for over 20 years here in Florida. For over the past 10 years, I have sold literally hundreds of quality cars and trucks at great prices here on eBay Motors and will continue to do so for years to come. Don't let the low price make you think something's wrong! I work by myself and I can afford to sell for considerably less than the car lots do. This is no part-time endeavor for me! It's what I do to support my family! In order for me to stay competetive in a crowded market place, I have to work harder then the other guy to earn your business and that is what I do. You will always get 100% personalized service to be sure your experience is a good one. Never any extra "dealer fees", just a simple and honest, no-nonsense approach that is easy to deal with. I want to earn your business now and in the future! Just check my feedback, it speaks volumes! All my offerings are put through a service/safety check to be sure they are safe and road worthy. I make sure the oil has been changed and do an inspection of the brakes, belts, hoses, cooling system, fluid levels, etc. Of course, every vehicle will ride and drive with the engine, transmission and suspension performing as expected. If you would prefer to have a third party inspect the car before bidding, I am most willing to help you facilitate that. I know of several shops in town that will deal with you directly or you are welcome to locate one on your own. Either way, I will deliver the car there for you and pick it up after inspection for no extra charge. Of course, the shop would charge a nominal fee and would bill you directly, but I will even reimburse your inspection charges if you end up buying the vehicle!!! I know it can be hard to buy a vehicle that you can't see in person, so I will do my best to present it as well as I possibly can through pictures and accurate description. What you will get from me is an honest, down to earth presentation with any notable cosmetic or known mechanical issues disclosed. What you won't get is a flowery, over exaggerated sales pitch that makes a car seem better than new or bigger than life! Check my feedback and you will see what other happy customers have to say. That's my best advertisement! If you have ANY questions at all, please feel free to call me on my mobile phone @ 239-940-4170. I am more than willing to to address any concerns you may have about the vehicle, the price, finalizing the deal, taking possession or any other details. If there is ANYTHING at all I can do to help you make your decision, please just let me know!! I want to be better than the "other guys"! Well, on to the vehicle! Just so you know, whether you decide to fly in and drive home or have the vehicle shipped, I will assist you any way I can on this end by setting up the transport or meeting with you at a mutual convenient time. I am very easy to work with!!! Please be sure to read the bidding/buying guidelines at the bottom of the page, they are very important. I thank you in advance for your business and your trust in me! MY $500.00 GUARANTEE When you arrive to pick up your vehicle and if it's not what I described, I will refund your deposit and give you $500.00 for your time. Also if you have the vehicle shipped to you and it is not what I described, I will refund your purchase price + $500.00 for your inconvenience. I want you to be confident in my description so that you can bid without worry. *does not apply to immaterial or minor imperfections, just the important aspects of the vehicle only. Any damages incurred during transportation and shipping are covered by the transporters or the customers insurance and are not applicable to my guarantee. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges to receive and to return vehicle to Ft. Myers and the purchase price will be refunded when I receive the vehicle in the same condition as when delivered. Customer must contact me within 24 hours of receipt of vehicle. Rare Find! An original, unmolested, well cared for 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado with just 83,675 miles! The first front wheel drive out of GM! If you have been looking for a nice classic car, then you definitely need to check out this gorgeous Toronado! A very solid and straight original car, not a rust bucket or a repaired do-over, just the kind of classic worth investing in. And you can drive this car everyday the way it is! It's not been restored, so of course, there are things inherent with a 46 year old car, but all relatively minor. Hey, half the fun of getting these old cars is the tinkering around with them! With this Toronado, you have a great investment going and a protection of the money you spend. Keep the condition as nice or improve it, either way it's better than money in the bank! It comes equipped with the 425 ci V-8, automatic transmission, power seat, power brakes, power steering, power windows, cold air conditioning and original working radio. It has new tires, brakes and a $700.00 exhaust system from the manifolds back, plus there is a $2400.00 repair bill @79,854 miles for new front drive axles, front wheel bearings, seals, etc! I was fortunate to get this car and am proud to offer it for sale here on eBay Motors! No sense paying huge money for a car like this at the collector car auctions, I have mine priced right for all that's here! I will give you an excellent description though words and pictures below, so please look it all over and maybe it's a car you would like to own. I am sure you will like what you see! What a super nice and clean, original Toronado that has never been altered or molested! Picture a car from 1966 that has been well kept by responsible owners and that is what you have here. Inside and out, it has that clean and well cared for, garage kept look we all like to find. The white paint has a deep shine and color with no rust, dents or fading and the black interior is fresh, clean and comfortable with little wear considering the year. It has been repainted, but done professionally with an awesome shine and no issues! No cheapy paint job, but rather a very respectful pro job that anyone would be pleased with. There have not been any panel replacements, bondo or any other kind of repairs that I could detect. A new set of weatherstripping on the doors and trunk, too! The only rust I found is the typical stuff found inside the windshield corners and rear window, pictured below. Even the underside is still very nice with again, only the typical, minor surface rust you would expect on a 46 year old car. This was not a mid-west/northern salty road exposed car! Solid and strong, ready to enjoy right away! The ride and drive is very nice with a strong engine and transmission. Feels like 1966 again behind the wheel! Recently installed set of P235/75/R15 Cooper Trendsetter radials make this Toro ready to drive daily! It has never been restored, just kept in great condition, so it won't be like brand new, but of course you already know that. And as they say, they are only original once! Repainted, but original color. All the interior appears to be original. Replaced tires, exhaust, etc. but that's expected. I did have the oil changed, coolant flushed and a general service/safety check done as with all my cars, just to get things as nice as I could for an older car, but these classics are different than the newer cars today. That's why they are so COOL! Anyway, be sure to look over the many pictures below with descriptions. This will give you an excellent overview to help with your decision. PLEASE feel free to call me directly on my cell phone with any questions at all you may have @ 239-940-4170. I want you to be completely comfortable with your transaction and enjoy the whole experience! Exterior Just as pretty in person with nothing to take away from the clean look! Original wheels with new radial tires! Working vacuum actuated headlights! The bumpers, door handles and trim are all excellent, needing nothing. I did find that the chrome tail light bezels and side view mirror are pitted pretty good. True Dual Exhaust! From every angle, this is one sharp Toronado! Interior Just as good inside! All original as far as I could tell and as nice as you could find for a 1966 interior! Cold air conditioning! Not blowing out of the dash vents, just the floor/defroster vents, and looking underneath you can see the hoses running to the dash vents are shot. Also, the power seat goes forward and back, but the up/down/tilt is not 100%. Sometimes it catches, sometimes not. The main top dash and passenger side dash is not cracked and looks beautiful! The pad around the square dash panel has had a couple spots repaired, but still looks ok. I did find that the revolving drum type speedometer is working, but jumps a bit. Probably needs the cable lubed or something. Also, the temp gauge is working erratically. Shows the temperature, then sometimes will drop right back down to low again. Loose ground maybe? The odometer is working and shows 83,675 miles, but being this car is 46 years old, it was issued with an exempt mileage title and sold as such. I have no reason to believe that the miles are not correct because of the great condition, I just have no way to 100% guarantee it. The AM-FM radio still plays! The engine starts easily, runs strong and smooth, not smoking or making any noises! The heater hoses have been bypassed, meaning the heater core inside probably leaks. Also, I did find that the transmission is dripping a bit on the driveway. The company that did the exhaust said it was leaking around the pan. Even the trunk is solid! The owner had glued in black carpet panels around, that's why you are seeing the adhesive. You can see in these following pics, it is not a rusty car! That is light surface rust only on both door bottoms where the factory paint would have been a little thin. The kind that would sand off easily. You would need to pop out the windshield and rear window if you cared to repair these areas. Not horrible, but there. I have done my very best to describe a 46 year old classic car. If you have any questions, be sure to ask them ahead of time as this car is sold "as is" with no warranty. If you want something to tinker with, have a lot of fun and still have value and protection of your investment, then this 66 Olds Toronado should fit the bill perfectly! With all that is offered here, I think my buy it now price is pretty fair! Take advantage of a quick purchase with no chance of losing it or I would consider a reasonable offer. It is sold this way so you know what the price is, honestly offered with no games! Please don't let the fear of buying sight unseen keep you from getting something you want. With my $500.00 guarantee, you have basically no risk buying online. Just give me a call on my cell @ 239-940-4170 and we can talk about anything you need to know! If you are wondering how you can finance this car, eBay has an awesome program set up that is very easy to use. Just click this link for more information! eBay Financing Well, that's my vehicle! You can always bid with confidence on any of my offerings as I strive very hard to offer quality along with an honest description. I have literally sold hundreds of cars and trucks here on eBay and built a very strong feedback rating, so you can feel comfortable with whom you are dealing. If you have any questions or concerns about anything at all, I am always just a phone call away. My cell number is 239-940-4170 and I have it on Monday through Saturday from morning until late at night. PLEASE feel free to give me a ring! I thank you for your interest and good luck bidding! Bidding/Buying Policies The advertised vehicle will be described as accurately as I can, but remember these are used cars, they will show signs as such. As stated before, each offering is serviced and safety checked before selling, but you are not bidding on brand new cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that are not new. Depending on the age of the vehicle, the various systems involved will be at different levels of wear and there may be the typical tiny chips/dings, blems and other signs of normal wear, inside and out, that you would expect on used vehicles. I am sure this is obvious to most people. I will do my best to describe all the apparent and important things so you are clear on what you are buying, but I encourage you to call with any questions you may have before bidding. I want you to be well informed! You can always get ahold of me on my cell @ 239-940-4170. I will be more than glad to walk around the car while on the phone and describe everything I see to give you a hands on view. PLEASE READ MY FEEDBACK! It speaks volumes of how I do business! Of course, all vehicles are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied unless there is any remaining factory warranty. I have made all my history statements based on information readily available to me and cannot warrant or guarantee the information or statements as such. Also, there may or may not be extra keys, manuals, remote fobs or other accessories. If not pictured, it's probably not there. I ask that all successful bidders please contact me within 24 hours of auction end to begin process of completing the sale. Customer is responsible to obtain their own insurance on any vehicle purchased. Insurance is provided by the transport company for all vehicles during shipping, but my insurance ceases to cover anything once it is sold. Sold being described as when funds are received in full, not at the time the vehicle is delivered. According to Federal guidelines, all vehicles 10 or more years old are sold exempt from mileage guarantees unless specifically mentioned. If I have documentation to back up the mileage on these older cars, I will. Payment must be made by cash-in-person, cashiers check, money order or bank to bank wire transfer. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be expected within 3-5 days following close of auction and remainder paid within 7-10 days. If you have a special situation, please feel free to call ahead of time to discuss. I am very easy to deal with! Florida residents must include 6% sales tax. According to Florida law, if an out of state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the state of Florida I am obligated as a licensed dealer to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchasers state sales tax and not to exceed 6%. The purchaser will then be given a notarized form from the State of Florida proving tax paid to present to their tax collectors office for sales tax credit. You DO NOT pay sales tax twice! Any additional fees or taxes will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida. Buyer assumes the cost and responsibility of shipping. I already have contacts to ship the vehicle anywhere in the USA, so I can help arrange this for you and give you cost estimate ahead of time. If you are going to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the Ft. Myers International Airport and provide you with a free 30 day temporary plate for your vehicle. You must have insurance before a temporary plate can be issued. All vehicles do have clear titles and are guaranteed to be clean and free of any liens or brands such as salvage or rebuilt. Occasionally, a title will be in transit from the bank or dealership because of a loan payoff and may not be in my immediate possession, but will be processed to you as soon as physically possible. Any buyer with a negative rating will be ignored unless he contacts me first with a good explanation. There is no sense in running up the prices by people who have problems following through with commitments. Remember you are entering into a legally binding contract. I WILL GIVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ON ANY FINAL BIDDER THAT REFUSES TO HONOR HIS OR HER OBLIGATION!!! By the bidding and/or purchase of this vehicle, buyer obligates him or her self to agree with all guidelines and statements made on this auction page by the seller including "as-is" no warranty statements, sales tax regulations, and insurance requirements. My promise to you is to be as fair, honest and helpful as possible. I have been in the car business for a long time and have enjoyed much success here locally and selling on E-Bay. That did not come about by mistreating my customers or underhanded dealings. Give me a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. You can e-mail me with any questions or feel free to give me a call on my mobile phone @ 239-940-4170. Thank you again! Edward Zarick Licensed under Far South Auto Inc. 239-940-4170
