Up for auction is my wife's 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. We have owned this car since 2002. This car has all the options for the SLE trim level, but no heated seats. The interior is leather and for its age it is in excellent condition, no tears or rips. This car is from a smoke free environment. This car has never been in any accidents either. It does have some small nicks and scratches here and there, normal for a car with this mileage. This car has seen regular oil changes at every 3000 miles faithfully. We purchased this car from the local Pontiac dealership and opted for the extended warranty which came with an oil change program for the life of the car (sorry not transferable to the new owner). I just installed new auto leveling air-ride rear shocks and a new radiator less than a month ago. The brakes and rotors are from Rotorpros and have less than 6000 miles on the pads. The car was always service at the dealership. The car is current with Connecticut State Emissions. New catalytic converter professionally installed about a year and half ago. Well now for the bad news. The car's transmission started slipping last week on her way home for work. The car does move but I don't want to destroy the transmission from driving it any more. The anti-lock brake light came on also during her trip home. I suspect it must be related. This car is being sold as is. If you have any questions click on Ask a question link above. On May-03-12 at 14:21:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been inundated with emails and a few visits in the last couple of days. I can't believe the interest in our Bonneville. There is a Philips Carin 520 navigation system professionally installed in the car, and I think the map is from 2003. It cost over $2500 to have installed years ago. We have not used it in the last couple of years because we have free navigation on our cell phones. No guaranties on accuracy or operation. I don't want to end the auction early and I don't want to sell parts off the car. The rims are great condition (might need a little cleaning), the front tires will need replacing by winter. The windows are lightly tinted which probably saved the interior. The feedback I am getting from the people who have contacted me have stated they are waiting for the end of the auction to bid on the car. That's what I would do.
