Selling my 2001 Peugeot 206 XR hatchback. 1.6 litre ( TU5 engine, fuel injected), 5 speed manual, A/C (cold!), P/S, 71,000 miles, Texas (clear) Title, current registration (till April 2013), Texas State Safety Inspection (till March 2013). Very good mechanical condition, driven daily ( I've put around 4,000 miles since February 2011, done nothing except an oil service and resealed the A/C compressor ). 14" alloy rims on 185/66R14 radials. Included with my 206 is a Haynes shop manual, and (PC/WIndows driven) service CD and some spares.30 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, no rust, instrument panel in MPH, This car has been on eBay before, but has not sold because of frivolous would be purchasers!...so I decided to drive it for a while, and in so doing verified that it viable and reliable transportation, even though some may consider the 206 a collector's item in the US.So ( and please forgive my abruptness):make sure you are serious about wanting to buy this 206! I am selling it as I no longer need it ( I have another Peugeot and several other cars)To answer the most commonly asked previous questions;1. The Texas Title is a CLEAR and TRANSFERABLE US Title, and I carry Full Collision insurance on the 206 with Farmers Insurance ($82 a month)2. CHECK WITH YOUR DMV! This 206 will not pass California or Connecticut Emissions , but I have it Inspected in Central Texas not subject to OBD2 emissions testing: it will, however, pass Emissions on a tailpipe testing with no problems ( 206 is Fuel injected with Catalyst, O2 sensor etc.)3. Parts are readily available from UK,France and Mexico, eBay, European aftermarket etc.4.This 206 is an absolute hoot to drive ,really practical( rear seats down I can carry most of my percussions, Gongs, 2 guitars and a small amplifier!), economical, fun to drive, quick and unusual ( I can find it in a parking lot because of the unusual paint scheme!)......I have been quoted $900 to redo the top half in silver, but I prefer it the way it looks!I will be happy to answer any questions that are not covered by the statements above5.
