1965 Austin Healey BJ8 3000 Overall condition of the car is good and presentable, exterior and interior. The car was fully restored ( including the engine) 27 years ago by the previous owner. The car runs and drives. The chrome in good condition, soft top opens and closes well and canvas roof is in good condition with clear plastic rear window. The interior is still presentable but shows some signs of age such as small tears in the upholstry. The dashboard wood shows some pealing. All the guages and electrical system work. The top dashboard in good condition with no cracks or problems. There is a small chip size smaller than a dime in the windshield in the upper center level, but does not interfere with the view. I do have a brand new window for the driver side door but has not been installed. The exterior black paint is presentable but shows sign of age such scratch, little crack but flaws not visible at more than approximately 6 feet away. The body shows some sign of repair that was done during the old restoration. The engine number is 29KRU/H3885 and there is one number is missing at the end which I can't make out. The odometer shows 36600km but there is no way to verify this but by documention in 1982 the odometer showed 24535km which shows that after the restoration the car was not driven too much. I have history of the car starting from 1972, the car originally came from British Columbia. There is detailed documentation of work and services done to the car since 1972. Sold in the condition as is, you are welcome to come and inspect the car personally. The car is located in Markham Ontario ( suburb of Toronto) I will help the buyer with shipping arrangement if it is needed. International buyers are welcome and I can keep the car in storage in my garage until shipping arrangements can be made as long as full payment is received.
