1971 Plymouth hemi powered Barracuda. This car was featured in Hotrod magazine, and was chosen as one of the top ten muscle cars of the year by hotrod in 2007. It has been the subject of numerous articles, and appeared in several tv shows as well. It was also on display 2 years in a row at SEMA from two different events. It's street legal, and NHRA certified. Cage and belts are in current certification. I'll try to describe the particulars below with a list of parts used in construction. I'm selling this car along with my others to clear the way for an NHRA alcohol funny car program in 2014. I have too many cars, and too little time to enjoy them all so better for me to have but one project. I only take this car out a couple times a year. The rest of it's life is spent in a climate controlled garage. Most recent passes were 5.38 1/8 and a 8.42 1/4 on motor @ 3400# with driver. Lightened 5" stroke billet crank with bbc rods on chrysler mains GRP billet 5500 series rods 6.975 length bbc x.990 Ross 4.565 custom pistons underhead profiled, coated, gas ported, .032bc, .032napier, 3mm LSM 55mm mechanical swap order roller on roller bearings Jesel roller tappets Jesel belt drive Manton 5/8 pushrods Custom ratio T+D roller rockers (push rod oiling) CV Titanium intake and exhaust valves, PSI springs, CV light ti retainers (radial groove) and ti locks Custom sheet metal intake SV1 carbs, Mezerie 55gpm reverse cooling. Star machine vacuum pump KB dual line oil system with custom screened and fabricated tray Moroso T/F oil pan. This motor was freshened this year with 7 1/8th mile passes and dyno time. New parts for freshen up are, all valves, springs, rods, pistons and rings, tappets, bearings, rings, seals. This engine will run on PUMP E85, or most any race fuel. Rear is 4 link anti roll 9" on Koni double adjustable coil overs. Strange ultra case, Mark Williams lightened 9310 ultra axles with 5/8 studs. Motive micronited 4.3 gears on a Mark Williams light weight steel spool. Mark Williams CM drive shaft with billet yoke. Front is AllterK with rack and pinion on double adjustable AFCO coil overs. Brakes are 4 wheel strange disc. The car has 2 ignition systems, one is a computer controlled MSD 10 box, the other is an MSD 7AL3.
