2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x48.1L Vortec Allison Trans This truck recently spun a rod bearing. Engine will start and run but cannot safely drive on the road. I've had the truck for almost 6 years and it has been a GREAT truck. The Allison manual trans has never had any problems. There are many new parts on the truck including new upper/lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rod ends, and pitman arm which were all replaced 2 days before engine gave out. Also recently replaced is alternator, starter, battery, hub/bearings on both sides, muffler. Front bumper cover is brand new as well as brand new fog light assemblies! (Pics show old bumper and lights) Interior is clean but has a few tears in the leather which would be easily repairable for an upholstery shop. This truck will be a great pickup for anyone who wants to put a little work and money into it. I was quoted $2500 to have a salvaged 8.1L swapped in (including install!). I was quoted on fixing the leather at $500.
