This is a FACTORY BUILT, Turn Key 2004 Beck Speedster built by Special Editions. It has just 8000 miles on it and it runs PERFECT!! It was built by Special Editions in Bremen, Indiana in 2004 as a turn key car. Their level of craftmanship and attention to detail, in my opinion, is the reason this car has NEVER FAILED TO START or RUN for me....It has never left me stranded, never even a hiccup!! If you buy a car built by some guy in his garage that never built a component car before that's OK....Just be prepared to fix mistakes, constantly tinker with it, and RE-DO the things that were done wrong. I've restored over 2 dozen cars in my lifetime. I was tired of wrenching on cars, I wanted something RELIABLE, fast and fun, with minimal maintenance. The quality of the build on this car is amazing! It's the little things, like super neat wiring with the correct insulating retainers, proper fasteners, (instead of whatever is in the coffee can) This car has factory NEW suspension, transmission, and brake components, instead of used junk yard stuff. Quality Paint and body work including perfect body gaps. CB performance provided the NEW 1600 dual carb engine with electronic ignition to Special Editions....It all adds up to ONE THING!!! You'll be DRIVING this car instead of WORKING on it. Beck Speedsters have FULL TUBE FRAMES, not shortened VW Beetle floor pans like other replicas...The difference??? A Beck handles, rides and turns, like it's on rails. These cars are very light (1400lb) The clutch pedal is the lightest of any car I have ever driven and the brakes are incredible. No slop in the factory new steering components either. Let me walk you through some of the details on this car. It's finished in a beautiful Metallic Blue with a darker blue interior. Notice the original style Speedster Seats with the cut outs!! Those are optional (extra $$$$).....Also note this car has every PORSCHE BADGE that an original 356 would have... From the Ruetters body tag, the 1600 super emblems on the engine cover, to the Porsche crests and Speedster emblems. A super nice NARDI wood rimmed steering wheel adds to the details. A period correct and factory optional chrome passenger side dash grab handle, along with the famous Coco mats in matching two tone blue are also included. A very nice Sony C/D player with a great set of Speakers adds to the open driving enjoyment. This car also has modern 3 point seat belts with retractors. Also included: FULL CONVERTIBLE TOP and SIDE CURTAINS....Tonnue cover and some interesting extras... Imported from England...I have a SET of chrome head light covers (see picture)...These are very nice because you DO NOT have to remove the headlight glass to install them. They simply mount on a fastener at the bottom of the headlight assembly. I put them on and take them off to change of look of the front end once in a while. One screw and they're on or off. I also purchased the Fluted Headlight lens (Optional $$$) I love the look but will include BOTH the original clear glass lens and the installled fluted lens with the sale (you decide which ones look better) I also have ORIGINAL PORSCHE lower bodyside moldings for this car including the front and rear bumpers...New in the box, never installed. Direct from Stoddard Porsche. FOG LIGHTS!! I really like the vintage look of these amber lens fog lights....I purchased original style mounts for these which DO NOT involve drilling into the body or bumper of the car in anyway...The mounts simply clamp over the bumper bracket BEHIND the bumper and use a small bracket to position the fog lamp...If you don't like them...One turn of a socket wrench and they are gone without leaving a trace. Next up....Leather Hood Straps!!! I love the looks of these on Vintage racing 356's I have them with all the stainless steel hardware to mount them but DID NOT install them. Custom made by a western saddle maker...Beautiful quailty. They go with the car...Also have the original owners manual. So that's it!!!! Bullet Proof reliabilty, dirt cheap parts, handles like a GO CART!! One last thing....If you don't like PEOPLE....DO NOT BUY THIS CAR....Because EVERYONE loves it, they want pictures with it, car guys (and girls) will tell you stories about how they always wanted one....All and all...It's a blast! And....it's READY TO GO!!!
