Vehicle Detail
Mint condition 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. I am the second owner. I purchased the car in 2003 from the original owner, which the car only had 9k miles on it. All mods were installed by my father (auto mechanic all his life, owned and operated an auto-repair shop for 30 years) in our own garage. Dynotune was performed by East Side Performance, famed LSx performance shop in Wallingford, CT. The stock 5.7 liter engine was removed in 2006 at 39k miles, and replaced with a brand new 5.7 liter GM LS1 aluminum engine block, GM LS1 crankshaft with Scat LS1 H-Beam forged connecting rods and wrist pins and Mahle Motorsport Forged LS1 pistons and ring set, all built and assembled by famed LSx performance shop, Texas Speed & Performance. The short block was shipped to me where I completed the build. Below is an overview of all mods netting over 430RWHP when last dynotuned. The car was built for impressive N/A power, and the strength to back it up: Highlight of Mods: Texas Speed & Performance Forged 347ci Built Engine PRC Stage 1.0 CNC Ported LS6 Heads with Cometic LS1 Head Gaskets and HM LS2 2004 Style Head Bolts (Heads were polished by Texas Speed and milled for an 11.0 compression ratio)Texas Speed Magic Stick 3 Camshaft, 237/242 Duration, .603/.609 Lift and 113 LSACorsa Premium Exhaust System with chrome exhaust tips Hooker Long Tube Headers and Off Road Pipe (no catalytic converters!)Patriot Performance Gold .650" Dual Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers Ram Level 3 Powergrip Clutch Kit SPEC Billet Steel Flywheel TA Performance Products Rear End Cover with Engraved "Thunder Racing" Logo BMR Lower Control Arms with Relocation Brackets Stewart Warner Shift Light Gauge LS6 Intake Manifold with Custom TruFire Paint JobShaner S3 Throttle Body (polished) ASP Pulley Kit Whisper Intake Lid w/ K&N Filter with Custom TruFire Paint JobLS2 Timing Chain Ported & Blueprinted LS6 Oil Pump Updated & Drilled 2001 Master Clutch Cylinder !AIR & !EGR Mass Air Flow Translator Chik's Front Strut Bar Drilled/Slotted Brake Rotors Lou's Short Stick Shifter BMR Sub Frame Connectors 2 top of the line Alpine 12 inch Subs with Custom Subwoofer Box (amplifier powering them is blown, I believe) Kenwood CD/MP3/AM/FM Radio Head Unit (Sirius satellite radio ready) AutoMeter Wide Band Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge Super White Fog Lights 15% Tint All Around Every mod for the car was carefully chosen (mainly by scouring and studying countless threads over at LS1Tech.com) to ensure the best quality and net gain. The car was built with streetability in mind, and even though it has an aggressive camshaft, I've never had an issue with the car stalling (thanks mainly to the professional dynotune). The only additional modification required (that should be done much sooner rather than later), as recommended by East Side Performance during my last dynotune visit, is to install large volume fuel injectors and receive another professional dynotune. Also, the treadlife on the current tires are low, and while completely drive-able, should be replaced ASAP. For the past few years, the car has been sitting in storage, all while keeping up maintenance. For a video of the car idling (and slight rev) during a cold start-up, follow the YouTube below. NOTE: The LUND tail light blackout covers are no longer on the car!http://youtu.be/uOSHOzTncPk The only two cosmetic defects to note is a very tiny, subtle, dime sized dent on the driver side rear quarter panel. I tried to take a picture of it to post, but it's so small and subtle, it's hard to capture in a photo (or in person for that matter). The driver door panel also has a small crack, which is a common defect of all last generation Firebirds and Camaros. Please note: the black rims shown in the pictures are not on the car and are no longer available. The car comes with the stock, chrome rims. More, higher quality pictures will be uploaded soon! PRICE IS FIRM! Please do not contact me for any trade or price negotiation. The price is firmly set and I will not go any lower or entertain any trades of any kind. YOU WILL BE IGNORED. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the car. Thank you for looking!
