Well it’s time to let my pride and joys go. I am graduating from graduate school and is moving aboard so I have to let me car go. This is a 2008 VW GTI 2dr with 6sp manual in United Gray. The car has been love throughout its entire life. With over $15,000 invested in the car. I am starting the bidding at 14,228 as the trade in value for a good condition is 14,228 with excellent being 15,078. This car is definitely an excellent condition car.I am more than happy to show the car, I am free Monday and Wednesday all day. Saturday and Sunday by appointment. Due to the nature of the car NO JOY RIDE test drive available only if you have a cashier check or cash of $20,000.The car will be available for pick up between May 5th to May 10th 2012.Winner must Paypal $500 non-refundable deposit within 48hours of the auction closing. This $500 will deduct from the total cost of the car.*NOTE* The car does not come with the head unit shown in the picture, a standard version will be provided Maintenance The car has never been smoked in. I am also a non-smoker. I always warm up the car 3-5min each morning before driving, and do not exceed 3,500rpm before water temperature reach 190f. After the installation of oil temperature gauge (more information below) I do not redline the car until the oil temperature is at 180f. After a long drive car is left idling for a cool down period of at least 1 minute or until all gauges return to normal operating condition. The car was never abused, no burn out, no J turn nothing!The car only spent 2 winters, as I used to have winter car. The car was also house in a garage at night and during all extended vacation until I have the car wrap (more information below) Only full synthetic oil approved by VW was used. The oil used is Mobile1 0w40 before the APR Stage III kit and only Motul 5w40 after APR Stage III kit. The car has a full stamped service book. All service up to 30,000miles is done at local VW dealership Royal on the East side in Bloomington Indiana. http://www.royalontheeastside.com/index.htm 30,000miles was performed at Indiana's APR authorized dealer ship EP Werks. Own buy APR’s team driver Ian Baas. The car is worked on by APR race team mechanic Josh Christy. http://www.epwerks.com 40,000miles and other regular oil change are done by James Weinfurt of Allroad Motorsports, who have over two decade of experience on VWs. http://www.allroadmotorsports.com/ Oil is change every 3000 to 4000 miles (3 oil changes per 10,000miles). All receipt for every single service and parts are available. I even have EVERY SINGLE GAS RECEIPT. The car has drank nothing but Shell/BP/Mobile/Exxon/Chevron when available (about 99% of the time). Only Premium gasoline has been used. Except for a road trip out west where it had about 5 gallons of 89. When the 89 was in the car, it was never rev above 3,000rpm, and was fill up with premium as soon as it was available. I have the receipt to back this claim as I have every single receipt from every single fill up since the car was new. Modification All Engine modification are carried out by Josh Christy at EP Werks, he also works on APR’s GTI race car. The car was also corner balanced at EP Werks. All part related to Engine are from APR except for Forget Catch can as APR does not produce Catch can for mass consumption. http://www.aprmotorsport.com/ All other modifications are done by James Weinfurt at Allroad Motorsports. The car has been wrapped in Matte Blue Vinyl inspired by Matte Blue that Lamborghini introduced in 2009 North America International Auto show (Detroit Auto Show). The work was carried out by Freelance Graphics, Inc. All the bugs have been worked out of the car. The car is extremely reliable and has just recently (March 2012) return from a 5778 miles road trip from Bloomington Indiana, to Los Angelis California and back. The APR GTI race car was used as inspiration for this project. The triple New South Performance Auxiliary gauges for example has its sender replaced with the item used by APR GTI race car adding and additional $300+ to the price of the Auxiliary gauges.
