Vehicle Detail

This is an actual Formula 400 car, VIN numbers match code numbers in book. Rebuilt 400 motor in 2003, with around 2000 miles. Driven up until 2004, and kept in storage until 2010. We purchased it then and had it shop kept since. THIS CAR DOES NOT NEED A GROUND-UP RESTORATION! Original car color is a bronze color, but now it is now all primered. Car runs real good and is extremely fast! Has posi-traction rear and 3 speed automatic Hurst shifter, Holley street dominator intake manifold, Accel HEI supercoil, 4 barrel Edelbrock carburator, M/T valve covers, headers, glass pack mufflers (that need tail pipes). This car needs the ram air breather to complete the ram air set-up. Has HTF 14" size Rally Sport II wheels with new original Pontiac lug nuts, deep dish trim rings (nice shape), and new PMD centers. Brakes need to be cleaned and re-bled. Back leaf springs are good. Looking at the underneath of the car, it's very clean, with original floor pans in good condition! Firewall area is nice, radiator support needs some work underneath, the rest is good! Car body is very straight, I went over entire body surface with a magnet, and it stuck everywhere except for the hood, which is factory fiberglass and the hard rubber nose of the car. Car has a few minor dings and a few dime-size rust holes. That's all!!! Inside trunk floor is clean, other than surface rust and a few pin holes. Trunk rail is good! Has all original factory emblems, some age cracks on lucite bird emblems. The rest of the emblems are good, and all there! Has the Pontiac Formula 400 emblems on both sides, and rear tail light panel Pontiac emblems in good shape. The front grills are in great shape, including the head light frames. The interior is black. The carpet, back panels, (except for the back seat rest part) are in good shape. Some interior work needed, but not bad at all. Front buckets seats need to be re-upholstered, especially the drivers side. Passenger seat not bad. Door panels, near the bottom, need to be re-done. Center console in good shape. Dash has a age crack, but I have a dash cover over it. Instrument panel is factory wood grain look. Has a speedometer registering 160, with a clock tachometer. Has factory AC, but needs air compressor to get it functioning again. Glove box needs inner liner. (I have 2 new outer door trims with chrome trim.) This car would need a new steering column, as this one is in bad shape. (Due to the bad condition of the steering column, I start this car with a push button toggle switch). Windshield has a hairline crack on the bottom of the passenger side, about 8" long. Back glass and ALL door glass is in good condition! Doors are tight, do not sag! Needs a lock kit for door and trunk. This car is a GREAT project car, just needs minor restoration work! Any questions, please call Chris @ (863) 668-9568 BEFORE 7:30 pm and after 8:00am, or e-mail! Thankyou for viewing my auction! SERIOUS bidders, please! On Apr-01-12 at 13:29:57 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: LOOKING FOR MORE CODES ON THE ENGINE, THIS IS A RE-BUILT 1973 400 WITH ORIGINAL HEADS! ANOTHER EBAYER ASKED ABOUT THIS MOTOR, AND TOGETHER IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THIS MOTOR IS AS STATED HERE. THANKYOU SO MUCH! SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
