Vehicle Detail
Look at the pictures and I think you will agree. This truck is as nice or nicer than others that sellers are listing for many thousands of dollars more. The prior owner claimed that he had invested $29,000 in the restoration which was done from 2004 thru 2009. Although he didn't furnish total receipts to back up his claim, it is a very believable amount as the body work and paint are show quality. The only flaws I found are a small scratch on the right rear fender and a chip in the tailgate where it hit the bumper when lowered. The interior is as nice as the exterior with the seat recovered, new headliner and rubber floor mat. New brakes, brake lines, tires, engine seals and gaskets and new wiring were part of the restoration. The mileage stated above is what the odometer reads. I do not know if it has been around or if it's even the original unit. I do have some printed pictures of the truck before and during the body off restoration which will come with the truck. They show a lot of surface rust and dented fenders but no visible rust through. The bed floor was diamond plate and there was a wooden tailgate. I believe the tailgate on the truck now is an aftermarket unit. This is a 3/4 ton pickup with the 8 foot bed. It has the new for 1952 overhead valve 215 cubic inch six. The transmission is the non syncro four speed. The electrical system is as it was built, a positive ground six volt. If you want a truck to advertise your business, get some thumbs up while driving, or take home a trophy from the local shows, this truck will do that as is. If you want first in class at the AACA level, a few improvements will get you there. Detail the engine and underside. The speedometer is not working. The stainless trim around the gages could be replaced. The pictures were taken in my gravel driveway. I notice there are reflections that could be mistaken for paint defects. The only flaws in the finish are those mentioned above. Please ask any questions or request pictures of specific areas if you wish. Your inspection or that of an agent is welcome. I think you will find that the truck is even nicer than the pictures show. Buyer to arrange the shipping. I'll be happy to help on this end.
