Vehicle Detail

1968 MUSTANG FASTBACK J CODE CONSOLE PS PDB SHARP CAR ***1968 MUSTANG FASTBACK J CODE CONSOLE PS PDB SHARP CAR*** ***ORIGINAL AIR CONDITIONING CAR*** ***GLOSSY PAINT --- DISC BRAKES ON FRONT --- GREAT DRIVER*** This is a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback that the owner, a buddy asked me to list. He bought it over 3 years ago from the man who had a lot of work done to it. He has decided to sell because he is going to retire soon and move to another state. The previous owner said all body work was done with new metal, little to no filler. He spent a lot of money on the paint job and body work. He also had the engine rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted. The engine sounds great. The previous owner said it was the original J-code 302 four barrel engine. The current owner had the interior redone. This is a super sharp looking car. The engine fires right up and the car runs and drives like it did when new. Paint is smooth and glossy. Transmission shifts well. Car has power steering and power brakes with discs on front. It was an original AC car but the compressor was never installed after the engine was rebuilt - it comes with compressor which spins, condenser, dryer and other AC parts. If you are interested in the Mustang my advice is to come and see it. Email me for the owner's number to make an appointment to see the car. The car has a really nice smooth glossy metallic blue paint job. It has original hub caps and the tires have plenty of tread. Car has 302 emblems on the front fenders. Engine has the original cast iron four barrel J code intake It's easy to drive with power steering, front disc brakes and automatic transmission. Pony grill with fog lights GT gas cap; dual exhaust is throaty The interior is black with bucket seats and floor shifter in the console. Seats are in nice shape Seat belts click into the console Interior is in great shape Back seat does not fold down. There is storage behind it. Lights come on when door is opened. Note vents. Classic Mustang interior Gauges are clear and easy to read Storage door goes up and down and closes. I put it half way up for the photo. Radio in dash is not connected. There is one in the glove box that is connected and works. Car also comes with original radio. Glove box - note speakers in kick panels Pioneer AM/FM stereo works. Door switch for courtesy lights is missing as is an AC vent - car comes with AC vent plus extra AC vent and controls Headliner has no damage or tears Passenger side door panel - knob is missing on window crank Driver side door panel with remote mirror Previous owner said this was the original J code 302 four barrel engine and that he had it rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted. It still has the cast iron four barrel intake. The engine starts right up and runs great. It has shorty headers going into 2.5-inch pipes. Engine has Mustang valve covers and a Ford air cleaner Master cylinder - it has factory front disc brakes - brakes have new lines and hoses Power steering works fine - car comes with the AC stuff - previous owner never put it back on after engine was built Look carefully and you can see the shorty header All the AC stuff comes with the car Underside of the hood - turn signals on the hood work Trunk opens and shuts properly Underside of the trunk lid Driver side of the trunk Spare Passenger side of the trunk Door plate - according to it the car was originally royal maroon and you can see some of that paint on plate. Previous owner had it painted metallic blue. VIN on dash AC parts and replaced trim, valve covers, air cleaner and originalAM radio Compressor spins easily Brackets that come with the sale and a spare motor mount Original front disc brakes - rubber hoses are new Power steering and driver side torque box Driver side floor pan Driver side front sub-frame Driver side floor pan Mufflers sound like turbo mufflers Passenger side I didn't see any leaks from the C4 transmission Passenger side floor pan Passenger side front sub-frame Rear end Gas tank - you can see the metal brake lines have been replaced Grill with fog lights Hood opens and closes easily Driver front fender with 302 and Mustang emblems All glass is good Hood mounted turn signals work Lower vent glass trim has aged - rest of trim on car looks really great. A lot of it was replaced. The bumpers have also aged. Doors open and close properly This car has a really good paint job that is bright and glossy Driver quarter panel Back glass Taillight trim was replaced GT gas cap and trunk lid Body is straight - previous owner said he paid more for bodywork and paint than he did when he bought the car. All four tires have plenty of tread - P205X75X14 thin whitewalls Nice body If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it. The car is in Chesterfield, Virginia not far from Route 288 which connects I-95 and I-64.
