Vehicle Detail
I selling my Race Red 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 convertible which was ordered and purchased new by me in September 2010. The car came loaded with the SVT performance package including the 3.73 differential, narrow stripes, aluminum wheels, Goodyear Eagle Supercar tires (265/40R19 F and 285/35/R20 R) and gurney flap as well as the electronics package with SYNC. The MSRP was $60,330. After that the car was sent by enclosed truck from Virginia to TASCA automotive in Cranston, Rhode Island (They are the East Coast authorized Shelby shop) where the 750HP Ford Racing Supercharger (m-6066-MSVT29D) was installed and tuned with the TASCA L & M Throttle body and a Shelby aluminum single piece drive shaft. On their dyno, the car made (730.6 HP at the wheels which would translate to more than the 750HP). The car also has a Ford Racing short shifter installed. The brakes have been upgraded with Stillen J-hook rotors (which are the same as ALMS and NASCAR racers) and Hawk HPS pads. The car runs perfectly and can easily be driven in daily traffic. It is insanely fast. It has never required any body work and has had all of its scheduled maintenance at my local Ford dealership. The remainder of the 3yr/36,000mile warranty is in effect although hypothetically would not cover issues with the new supercharger (I haven't had any or expect any). The car also has Lethal Performance LED interior dome lights and license plate lights. It has never been raced or tracked and I've actually never done a burnout. The car is mechanically sound. I am selling to make room for a 2013 GTR (and its almost $100,000 sticker). I do not have the original supercharger or driveshaft as it is the 'Shelby policy' not to return the stock parts (I don't make these rules). The car has a clear title in hand. Tires have plenty of wear and the brake pads and rotors are brand new (<500 miles). The SYNC system has bluetooth, shaker 500 audio, CD/MP3/ Nav/Sirius/traffic/local weather, sports etc. The dash and ambient lighting can be adjusted to many colors which is very entertaining. This highly desirable, well maintained car with Ford Racing parts installed by authorized TASCA (at more than $12,000) automotive is being offered for auction with the intent to sell. The reserve is set at $44,900 to guarantee sale even though more than $72,000 has gone into it. It is noted that the car has the stock exhaust, cats and headers in place. All the books are of course included as is the tounneau cover for the soft top. The Chrome Ford Racing license plate frame is included as well. I request a $500 deposit within 24hrs of completion of auction. I will release the car when the remainder of the payment has been received and the title when the funds are cleared. It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange registration, pay taxes, get insurance, etc. I can give a Virginia transit tag. The car will of course pass all emissions and safety inspections.
