VERY FAST! Remarkably Streetable, Trackable or Shine & Show Just an awesome all round 911! General information about this car's parts, specs & history... The 3.2 liter: she was built based around Euro 3.2 specs to be extremely durable and versatile though originally built for Yellowbyrd. I set up a a 7,100 rpm soft limiter for the motor but it was built to run up to 8,000 rpm all day long. The suspension: as it's set up, the ride is firmer than most any stock P car but it is not punishing by any means and it will run rings around any stock Porsche and most modified cars ("the incredible lightness of being") at an autocross or track event! I built the engine and transmission to be reliable for road course events and my driving style. This car shows extremely well, gets a lot of attention and will likely run reliably on the road and track for many years... it will run ok on premium gas though you probably wouldn't want to run it at even 9/10s on the street or at driving events without mixing in at least a third or half a tank of racing fuel (between 104 and 112 octane) as the octane boosts performance and the lead helps keep the valves cool. The custom Steve Wong chip is programmed for 100 octane fuel, but this could readily be changed and de-tuned a bit to run on common premium gas at the sacrifice of a little power. The '85 chassis and body: Ferrari Yellow paint, sunroof removed and sealed, the roll bar is a 4 point bar behind the seats (nothing to climb over etc.). The interior is gutted behind the seats and the interior painted to match the exterior, the headliner was installed new when built. RS door panels, RS carpet kit, Rennline pedals and foot boards, very nice and comfortable Sparco adjustable seats, replacement dash when built, no radio or AC and the hole is there where the radio would belong, an extra pair of gauges mounted below the center dash area for brake bias info, Lexan door glass and rear quarter windows, the door glass has pull straps to raise and lower the very expensive lexan panes and they fully seal. The interior is gorgeous with the exception of the missing stereo "hole". The car literally has less than 400 miles on it since it was completed! The previous owner has a car collection that would gag you, and this was just a toy he completed then quickly moved on to other toys as he apparently gets bored easily! Note the gear chart graph (pictured) showing the speeds versus rpms relative to the custom '74 911S gearbox. All the speeds/mph achieved at different rpms should be bumped up by about 5-7% in each gear due to the modern 17" wheels and tires having a larger overall diameter than the '74 911s original wheel and tire size. Keep in mind the dual side outlet exhaust in the pictures has been replaced with an M&K stainless steel GT3 dual center outlet unit coupled with SSIs. The rear interior shot properly shows the rear interior "look" and also the Leda remote nitrogen canisters for the rear dampers but the Autronic ignition module was removed and traveled with the 3.8 to my "keeper" '74. The 56k mileage on the odometer is accurate for the original '85 911 chassis/car that was the basis for this build. The 3.2 liter I started with had only 52,000 miles and was completely rebuilt last year so neither figure is truly relative to anything "real" as literally everything on this car was improved upon or rebuilt. I truly want this 911 to go to the "right home" so here's my honest opinion. Unless you are an extremely experienced old school Porsche driver, this is a car you will have to learn to drive. It will challenge you for years to come to become a better driver. You will not be able to exploit it's full potential on a track for many, many hours of high performance driver's education and she'll provide you with a proper platform for a nice steady learning curve. If you are a soul mate for this car, any "stock" Porsche of any era will leave you wanting for more and it's likely you'll eventually spend all sorts of money for something which still won't be anywhere near as satisfying to drive! If you truly love driving and being challenged, this car is for you. If you want to be relaxed and totally comfortable 100% of the time then you may be better off with a softer near stock Porsche. If you are a true match for this car she will make you grin from ear to ear every time you start her up (or look at her for that matter), she'll stir your soul and make you tingle every time you put it in gear and pull away, but when you return you will know you have been driving a true thoroughbred and you will find yourself admiring her for her spirit and willingness to run hard or lope along. After driving her, all other cars will feel soft, flabby and slow to respond to your inputs. Plus she's incredibly sexy and easy on the eyes! If that is an experience you will treasure, then you won't be disappointed! * Please note: This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. The car is being sold "as is, where is" with no warranty in place or implied. Dave. If you have any questions, please email via "Ask Seller a Question" on eBay or call me at 603-355-7949 for more info... * NO AC, NO STEREO but she plays a great soundtrack from the dual center outlet GT3 style MK exhaust! * Aluminum lip spoiler in some pictures has been removed
