I AM RELISTING THIS ITEM DUE TO A NONPAYING BUYER - WON THE AUCTION, MADE CONTACT, THRILLED TO HAVE GOT IT FOR SUCH A GREAT PRICE, THEN DISAPPEARED OF THE FACE OF THE EARTH - UNBELIEVABLE!!!Hi, and THANKS for looking at my auction!Here we have a really, really, nice Mercedes Benz. The car is dark blue in color with a tan interior. The paint on the car is a 9/10, 10 being new! The car has 4 matching Michelin tires with ony around 800 miles on them! It has a 300 diesel motor which is non-turboed. These engines have a tremendous reputation for their strength, durability, and longevity. These engines have been known to run well over 400,000 miles with only routine maintenance. This car shows exceptionally well. The paint shines like new, the chrome trim has no digs, scratches, pits, or otherwise. She rides and drives extremely well, drives straight down the road, steering is tight, no play, and everything works. All windows go up and down as they should, all gauges function as new, even the clock! The power sliding sunroof works great and shows no signs of leaks. The car has been garaged most of it's life. It has a new battery and was just serviced. The car has been very well taken care of and serviced faithfully. The engine runs perfect, no smoke, no leaks, and very clean. The transmission shifts smoothly, as it should, and on time, with no problems, or leaks. It too has been faithfully maintained and was just serviced again recently. The interior is very well preserved for a car 36 years old! It could use new carpet if it was to be restored, however, it is just fine for a daily driver. The dash has a very small crack near the speaker just like they all do. It is only a couple inches long and does not continue down around the front corner. The speaker grill on the dash is broken and I have located one and should be replaced by end of the auction. The seats are leather and do show some wear, although they are still very much intact. There had been sheep skins over the front seats and as always happens, some of the color in the leather is rubbed, but not completely off. The trunk is very spacious and looks new. There are a couple of very minor dings in the front bumper and the bumper guards are in perfect condition. It has rear window defogger and cold Air Condition. The owners manual is in the glove compartment and is in like new condition. The car carries over 45 lbs of oil pressure running and only drops between 40 and 45lbs when hot and at an idle. You will never find a 1976 diesel in better condition, without having been restored than this one. It runs great on veggie or straight diesel without any changes to the engine. I would say the car has absolutly no rust, but there are a few very, very small dimples in the paint above the headlight and right next to the chrome, but have not cracked the paint. I tried to show them in the pictures, but they are so small, it is hard to see them. You would probably not even notice them if I didn't tell you about them. I have described the car the best I can and do not share any responsibility for something I may have missed. I am a very fussy person myself, so my discription should satisfy most everyone's expectations. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early because of a local sale. The car is being sold "as is, where is" with no warranty or guaranty either written, expressed or implied. I live within 2 miles of PA I-80 and transit people can meet me in a Wal-mart parking lot for loading. This car is more than capable to be driven from my home ANYWHERE! Everything works perfect - has been serviced - past inspection - and ready for the road. I have been driving it myself fairly often since we have had very few bad weather days. With gas prices soaring like they are, here is a chance to purchase a car with great milage (40 in town) that runs on used veggie oil, properly prepared, which would cost you pennies per gallon, and able to drive a very "CLASSY" Mercedes wherever you want to go, or just park it in a garage, and keep it as a "classic" and let it appreciate in value! On Mar-02-12 at 05:02:23 PST, seller added the following information: Ok - I finally got this straightened out! I have listed additional pictures requested by some of the bidders. All you have to do is click on the site listed below. Please take note of how well preserved the guage cluster is. The picture of the guages showing oil pressure, ect. was taken while the car was idleing after about a 20 mile run. The top of the fender shows the VERY minor bubble in the paint that I mentioned earlier. Take note also how shiney the paint is and how it reflects the tree like a mirror! Also, there are two pictures showing the Vin number and no matter how I try, they keep telling me there are not enough numbers! Maybe you can see more than I can.
