Vehicle Detail

1969 Pontiac GTO "Real 242 code car" Up for sale is a real Pontiac GTO! I'm only selling it to acquire some much needed funds to finish off one of my other cars. This is an original Verdoro green car with what I believe to have been ordered with a black vinyl top, and black bucket seat interior. I haven't run the Pontiac Historical Society documents on this car. That will be left up to the next owner. Everything will need to be gone through on this legendary classic muscle car. This old goat is in need of a full restoration to bring it back to its former glory. The current engine in this GTO is a 350 that turns over, but does not fire. Included with this sale is a 400 short block, and correct 1969 GTO number 62 cylinder heads to build a 350 horsepower engine available at the winning bidders request. The doors still have nice seams at the bottom. The quarter panels have some filler, but are usable. I would suggest that the trunk lid be replaced if a cleaner one can be located. The front endura nose is straight, and I believe was never hit. The ram-air hood has those nice scoops to look at while you cruise your Pontiac down the road. The floors will need work, but the trunk is still in relatively nice condition as shown in the pictures. The rear bumper could use a re-chrome, but does appear straight as drivers quality with no rust through. The suspension on this goat makes it sit up proud with period correct Cragar wheels for that ol' "Hot Rod" look. A pair of those hard to find deep dish Cragars are on the rear. If there is anything that you feel I may not have covered in this description please ask as many questions as you like. This car is perfect for that father and son project, or for the guy or girl that had one back in high school and wants to recapture that feeling once again. This is also a prime candidate for a Judge Look-a-Like!! These cars have been known to consistently increase in value. In today's market the Nada Classic Car Price Guide shows the 1969 Pontiac GTO as $47,200 in high, $23,900 in average, and $11,400 in low condition. This is an awesome opportunity to re-join the ranks of the muscle car enthusiasts. As you restore this Pontiac GTO it will always continue to rise in value. In this economy this is the right time to enjoy your money while you watch it grow with every turn of the wrench. This original GTO is being offered at "No Reserve" on a quick 3-day auction and will sell to the highest bidder on Monday evening at 5pm Pacific time, 7pm Central time, and 8pm Eastern time. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
